The 100000 is not the only polymer notes of Indonesia. Indonesia previously also printed polymer commemorative money in 1995 commemorating the 25th anniversary of the country's development progress

Some random fact: The first currency issued by Indonesian Government was ORI (Oeang Repoeblik Indonesia) in 1946. However, in the independence war (1945-1949) there was 4 currency circulated in Indonesia; ORI, Imperial Japan Banknote, De Javasche Bank Banknote (colonial era banknote), and Banknote issued by NICA (Netherland Indies Civil Administration) or the dutch forces. In the war, many regions were cut off from central government so this regions were permitted to issued their on banknote, thus ORIDA (ORI Daerah/ Regional ORI) was created. But this banknote was easy to counterfeit, so the Dutch just printed fake ORIDA to create inflation. Not only armed conflict, there is also currency war at that time. Rupiah was issued in 1951 to fixed monetary mess from the war time.
