There was one thing that was a venom here comma the zimbabwean and south african Ndebele Are historically the same people comma but over time They started to drift off comma into the south and north Ndebele, The northern. S became the zulu After a while, but then does the loose start a taking some of the Xhosa Language leaving to types of Zulu, the original and the mixed, Then later on the original zulu started moving upass the limpopo to zimbabwe and became the Matabele While our South African cousin's, I'm going with their ways and later on. Became a little bit linked With the Swazi People in language and the Sotho People with Clothing, But still maintain their culture and heritage, But this is also why their Prince married The Sotho princess as a way to bring The 2 tribes together, So bottom line is ancestry we are the same but modernly, we are more or less distant cousins, But the main way you can tell us apart is by our cultural dress, the northern Ndebele Usually we're therainbow blankets , Especially during ceremonial or Marriage times, and us North Ndebele Primarily dress like the Zulu. But still have some elements of our northern cousins, along with the gold nutcranes, to symbolize Status and wealth. Along with the Bead work, but then again. The bead work is kind of Throughout Southern Africa, so it might not count as much

First, the ndebele do not stem from Zulu. The Amandebele are older than the Zulu nation as we know it. 2) mzilikazi was not ndebele as his surname was khumalo/nxumalo. As he was chased by amabutho, he fled and hid from Shaka. He stayed with the Amandebele from the transvaal region for three years before usurping their name, culture and soldiers to Zimbabwe. A ndebele nation did not exist in Zimbabwe until the arrival of Mzilikazi and named it amandebele akwaMthwakazi. The ndebeles in the south amantungwa. There's more to learn about these people

Not true. Someone needs a history lesson. Zimbabwean Ndebele's and South African Ndebele's never interacted. Infact Mzilikazi kaMashobane was a Chief under Tshaka who run away after a conflict between them. Mzilikazi left with approximately 300 Amabutho from zululand. Mzilikazi raided, conquered and absorbed the local Sothos forcing them to speak Zulu and adopt the Zulu culture and religion Mzilikazi was also force out of South Africa by Zulu warriors.. This forced Mzilikazi and cross Limpopo to Mordern day Zimbabwe we he established his Kingdom Kwabulawayo. Zimbabwean Ndebele is closely related to South African Zulu. Zim ndebeles have Zulu constumes and culture. They understand Zulu more than Any other Nguni language

@Clive Nyathi These are the ones who were shipped into Mzilikazi's country because the Matebele/AmaNdebele were said to be stubborn, warlike and always itching for a fight and and did not want to be ruled or made to work under the white man. The white man then brought in the aMaxhosa as they were not warlike and were easy to control. The whiteman's premise was that they would use the AmaXhosa to dilute the warrior attitude of the AmaNdebele as they had already been having them work their farms in the Eastern Cape. The AmaXhosa where shipped in through the railway line through Botswana. On instances where the trains broke down, some escaped & joined the local population, some where abandoned along the route when the journey to Bulawayo became too costly for the whiteman. They mostly reside in villages along the railway line from Mahikeng to Bulawayo. A large population of the descendants are found in a village called Mahalapye. In Matebeleland they were given a piece of land to settle in called Mbembezi/Mbembesi(eGadade). They largely kept together hence they kept their isXhosa alive.

@@emmanuelndlovu6896 The original language was Nguni.Nguni was a language spoken at that time by many.During that time, the people were settled among their small clans..Few clans split from Nguni nation and formed a nation of Amandebele who were led by King Ndebele who went to settle in a present day Pretoria along side pedi and Tswana people. That is why the Southern Ndebele souds like a mixture of zulu and Sotho. Five generations of kingdomship past and the 6th King was King Mhlanga who fathered King Musi.King musi fatherd Ndunza and Manala. After Musi's death, manala fought with Ndunza and they later split into two..Today those Ndebeles are found in Mpumalanga and Gauteng. On the other hand, centuries later after the Mthethwa clan emerged from the Nguni and conquer other clans to form the nation of AmaZulu. The Mthethwa clan was led by their chief, uShaka ka Senzakhona, yena Waka Zulu..The kingdom of AmaZulu was now big nation. The Khumalo clan had issues, they were killing each other fighting for the chieftaincy.UmZilikazi ka mashobane fled to uShaka for help after his grandfather, zwide kaLanga from his mother 's side killed his father, umashobane kaMangethe. With the military help from Shaka Zulu,Mzilikazi conquered back his clan and killed his grandfather. He became the right hand man of Shaka until the dispute between them which led them to flee KwaZulu and run towards north. He arrive in Pretoria and discover/found the Musi Ndebele that I have mentioned alongside the Pedis and Tswana..They could understand each other but due to cultural differences, they started fighting of which it led Mzilikazi to further North and settled in kwaBulawayo, Zimbabwe were he came across the kalangas(Moyos). The Ndebele of Zimbabwe is similar to Zulu than the ones in South Africa. The other Ndebele which is usually ignored are the Gegana/Kekana clan who are settled in Mghombana/Mokopane area in Limpopo province. This group are originally from KwaZulu and they broke away from the Ndlovu Clan and migrated to petermaritzburg and later to Swaziland because of tribal wars. They led by their paramount chief Keke. After his death, his son Bolongo took over and moved to Tshwane [Pretoria],and settled in a place called marabastaad.Years later Mthombeni led them to zebediela in Limpopo province and after Mthombeni, Gegana/Kekana took over and later the Gegana split into two. Some remained in zebediela while some went to settle in Mghombana/Mokopane and Bolongwane/Polokwane..This language is a mixture of Zulu, Swati, pedi and Tsonga.. Mghombane means umhlangano in Zulu/Ndebele which in pedi they say kopano/mohlakano.. Bolongwane which today is known by a Pedi name Polokwane means KwaBolongo, which they dedicated that place by the paramount chief who led them out of tribal wars in KwaZulu....

@@christianndlovu-lh7vu No, the amandebele , as group descended from what is now KZN and they where one of the ethnic groups belonging to the Nguni tribe of that time. led by king/chief Ndebele, around 1450 or so. Then king ndebele led his followers away from kzn because of wars and settled around what’s now known as heidelberg (gauteng’s and later the group moved to what is now Pretoria and across Mpumalanga. that is way you find Ndebeles next to the province of kzn, Mpumalanga not any where near the Xhosa lands. as they where moving from kzn inwards the land, until they settled next to the Pedi hence the cultural references., Not Xhosa. The blankets and love for bright colours and sweet food 😂have nothing to do with any other tribe in SA. So, as Mzilikazi was fleeing, the first tribe he came to contact with was the ama Ndebele because of their close proximity to KZN which he was fleeing from. That’s where he refuged from shaka and later on caused the war with Amandebele that killed king Sibindi and Magondongo, and then he fled to zimbabwe.

@Ingungumbane Remember abaNguni were scattered in the present day Kwazulu Natal, Free State and Mpumalanga. Under the Nguni nation,Ndebele was one of the largest tribe that emerged under Nguni.Ndebele had so many tribes and Zulu clan became the nation under the kingdom of UShaka kaSenzakakhona.Remeber Shaka colonised many people but some fled to other parts of the country. Some of the sotho/pedi/tswana people call themselves matebele meaning amaNdebeles while some calls themselves Bakoni meaning Amanguni...I know it's a bit complicated

The Khumalos originated with Khumalo kaMntungwa who settled around the Mkhuze river in Northern KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. There they lived, predominantly under the yoke of the larger Ndwandwe for several generations. Khumalo kaMntungwa was succeeded by his son Mkhatshwa kaKhumalo, Mkhatshwa kaKhumalo was succeeded by his son Mangethe kaMkhatshwa (Mangethe was also called "Zikode"). The three eldest sons of Mangethe kaMkhatshwa produced the three primary branches of the Khumalo House. They are: Mashobane kaMangethe (also called "Matshobane kaZikode"). It is from this branch that the Royal line of Khumalo descends. Magawozi "Dloko" kaMangethe (also called "Magawozi kaZikode") Gasa kaMangethe (also called "Gasa kaZikode").

Again Mzilikazi didn’t die in Zimbabwe and only those close to and his close advisers and doctors know where died running away from the British government. That’s why they is no grave for him. Research better next time.
