Yes you’re right commands cannot save. Only Jesus kept them perfectly. We obey because God saved us. Paul said we establish the law and don’t make it void through faith. Revelation 14:12. Yes...but don't you think it's good and a prerequisite to clearly understand anything to start from its very beginning...because the true Christian faith as practiced and written in the Bible was at that time trampled up on and kept in the dark by the Roman chruch as history Cleary states...and knowing what was done and still people through many perscutions and tribulations stuck to the truth until this very day is part of the history of the adventist chruch

I think it tells the history of the true church that was being led by sticking to the Bible and the Bible alone rule...and how after the apostles...the true and scripture based believes were kept in the dark...and through time were replaced by human thought and dogmas to the point where reading the Bible and following its rules and not going against it for the sake of new and mutated dogmas was a very dangerous thing as so many martyrs showed throughout the long and dark ages of history

They are Hebrew Israelites and they were Jewish people and Jews that do attend worship on Saturdays but if they have a job that requires them to work on Saturdays, they still go to work so why is it that a seventh day Adventist does not work on Saturdays

We believe the 7th day was a day of rest or cessation from our secular labour and therefore believe it is a violation of the 4th commandment; which commands us to recall to mind creation sabbath that was made for man. See exodus 20:8 Gen 2:1-3 Mark 2:26,27

Go to Genesis 2. God instituted the 7th day Sabbath at the end of Creation week - - - before there was sin and before there were Jews God gave Adam and Eve the Sabbath as a day of physical rest and a day of communion with Him. He blessed, sanctified and hallowed the 7th day and He RESTED from His labors, this is why we do work on Sabbath, as God tells us not to and you can read that command in Exodus 20… look for the verse that starts with the word “remember”!

Reading the books of the New Testament, we probably asked ourselves more than once: *"Why 2000 years we do not see those miracles that accompanied the Сhurch of Christ in the I century, as described in the New Testament?"* Why do the so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed and atheists boldly deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Сhurch of Christ has not existed for 2000 years? The Сhurch does not exist in the form in which it is presented in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other christian sects claiming to be the place of the Church, but they not have the only thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic of just the Сhurch of Christ -the reinforcement of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mark 16:15-20). Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform. If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then there would be the same controversy throughout the world as in the first century - Jesus the Son of God or the false prophet who seduces the world by miracles. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist. Find *"The Mystery about the Church of Christ"* video on KZbin, which shows the real causes of Christian sects and atheism. The video reveals a prophecy about the disappearance and reappearance of the Church of Christ before the end of the world. Watching this video will bring joy to all who sincerely seek God and will interest those who are not too lazy to think freely. Your founders were Arians though. They literally believed Jesus was not divine, but created so I don't know why you are taking shots at atheists when you are on the same boat as them and Jehova Witnesses. Arianism is the Christological position that Jesus, as the Son of God, was CREATED by God. From the words of the Seventh Day Adventists own theologians: "Our pioneers clearly held Arian or semi-Arian views in regard to the person of Christ. They understood “firstborn over all creation” (Col 1 15) and “only begotten Son” (John 3 16) in a literal sense. The Father, therefore, was first and superior, and the Son, who had a beginning sometime in eternity, was subordinate to the Father. A corollary of this view was the belief that the Holy Spirit is an influence or the power of God, but not a person." (Gerhard Pfandl, Biblical Research Institute, The Doctrine of the Trinity Among Seventh-day Adventists; Journal of the Adventist Theological Society, 17/1 (Spring 2006): 160-179) The Seventh Day Adventist church is founded on Arian beliefs which means it is heretical because Christ was NOT CREATED.

@@johnsix.51-69 You have the wrong addressee. But I will tell you that not only the Adventist Church, but also the Catholic Church, the Orthodox Church, the Protestant Church and all other churches are false. The Сhurch of Christ was destroyed in the first century, and for 2000 years false churches have begun to appear that claim to be the church of Christ, but God does not testify of them by signs and wonders as he did in the first century. What can we know about the Church of Christ? What was she like? We know about the Church of Christ only what is known from the books of the New Testament. We do not know of any other Church of Christ outside the New Testament. What was the Church of Christ in the books of the New Testament? Certainly not symbolic and not invisible, but a strictly hierarchical organization consisting of believers baptized with the Holy Spirit, where the Gifts of the Holy Spirit were manifested. As written: *"Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues."* (1 Corinthians 12:27-28). This was the Church of Christ in the first century, but for 2000 years we no longer see such a Church of Christ, there are no Apostles, no prophets, no one has miraculous powers and gifts of healing. But we see gatherings of people headed only by teachers speaking in the name of Christ, but not having the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said: *"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.* *So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following..."* (Mark 16:15-20). I would like to draw your attention to these words: "the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following". that is, miracles reinforce the word of God and they are important for the preaching of the teachings of Jesus. For 2000 years, including our time, we have not seen any believers who have accompanied or are accompanying these signs. But in the books of the New Testament we read that in the first century, believers performed many miracles. As written: *“And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people”* (Acts 6:8). *“Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them”* (Acts 15:12). *"Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city"* (Acts 8:5-8). Where are Stephanes, Barnabas, Pauls in our time? Where is Philip, who brings great joy to the cities? In which church do the blind gain sight? Where are the lame and bedridden jumping for the joy of being healed? Where are demons cast out? Where are the dead raised? Where are the Prophets? Where do they lay hands on the sick and get rid of sickness? Such miracles are not performed in any church, anywhere in the world. Jesus said: *“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”* (John 14:12). But where are these believers now doing the works of Jesus and even more than Jesus himself did? The Church of Christ was destroyed in the first century and for 2000 years false churches appear that claim to be the Church of Christ but do not have the testimony of God, that is, miracles. It was by miracles that God testified about the Church of Christ, just as he testified about Jesus. As written: *“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:”* (Acts 2:22). God testified about Jesus, and then about the Church of Christ by miracles. But the Church of Christ was destroyed in the same way as Christ was killed in due time, and therefore the signs and wonders that accompanied the Church ceased, and now She has been buried for 2000 years, but will rise in the last days as Jesus rose again. The prophecy of the death and resurrection of the Church is present in the parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-13). "Revelation" also prophesies about the emergence of the Church: *“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:”* (Revelation 12:1). The emergence of the Church will just be a great sign of the imminent Coming of Christ.

@@edvardzv5660 I stopped reading at, "the church of Christ was destroyed." You have no idea what Jesus said do you? You must have forgot about "I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." I guess the Spirit of truth that Jesus said he was going to send died too according to your heretical beliefs. I read a little further to see how perverted your way of thinking about the early church is and it goes even further. If the church of Christ died in the first century like you say then when was the bible put together and by who? You base your beliefs on the New Testament but the New Testament wasn't canonized until the 4th century. LOL you have no idea what the councils of Rome, Hippo and Carthage are. I'll help you though since you are extremely lost. Catholic Bishops gave us the canon of scripture by 397 AD. So now you are in a bind because you said the church of Christ died in the first century, but here you are accepting the bible canon from a "false church." Your logic fails you.

@@johnsix.51-69 that’s not correct. This is the SDA belief: The Comforter that Christ promised to send after He ascended to heaven, is the Spirit in all the fulness of the Godhead, making manifest the power of divine grace to all who receive and believe in Christ as a personal Saviour. There are three living persons of the heavenly trio; in the name of these three great powers-the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit-those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized, and these powers will co-operate with the obedient subjects of heaven in their efforts to live the new life in Christ.... Isaac was also called Abraham’s only begotten son and he had two sons. Begotten is not the meaning you are thinking: By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son. Hebrews 11:17. The term “only begotten” comes from the Greek word monogenes and can mean unique, as well as only. Isaac is called Abraham’s only begotten son (Hebrews 11:17) even though he was not Abraham’s only son, or even his firstborn. The Greek word for firstborn is prototokos which means the pre-eminent one, the one who receives the privileges of the firstborn, not necessarily the literal firstborn. For instance, David (Psalm 89:27), Jacob (Exodus 4:22) and Ephraim (Jeremiah 31:9) are called firstborn, yet none were literal firstborn children. They were symbolically called “firstborn” because they were inheritors of their father’s spiritual leadership and privileges. Similarly, Jesus possesses everything that His Father possesses. He has all the privileges and prerogatives of God. His existence is from eternity, with no beginning and no end.
