I would argue that it goes back all the way to 1988 it sounds, they seem to have just gotten rid of it for a few years

@@blokorz_630 no, the 1989, 1990 intro both seem to have some sort of similarity to the 1988 intro + the 1990 intro does have that ending part that was used again on the 1993 intro

Yes odd. It was during the time they were considering how best to integrate the videowall with the cold open, and they were also trying to inject more energy into opening of the main bulletin. They moved away from the downward movement to panning across the desk, and them mire latterly to dolly-in (inward).

If you're talking about Air New Zealand Flight 901 crash, it happened in 1979. November 28, 1979.

I'll never forget this especially when it came to the news in the morning and in the evening my Auntie Nicole Solomon was a News journalist when those 5 Minute News Breaks came alone that was before The Internet Social media Utube Google Email Gmail Bluetooth Speakers was everything in today's world back then there was nothing just a plane old school (GHETTO BLASTER) i mis those days especially sitting on the sofa with my older sister's and my great great gran Auntie witching the News especially During the 1981 springbox tour at Eden Park even when Dave Dobbyn concert on Aotea Square and everything that happened During the concert on Queen Street i still have the Local Herald with me today even what happened During the 1981 South African test at Eden Park including the 1985 Rainbow Worrier Bombing even when Auckland police dog Luke when he was shot on Chinatown Auckland Central going towards Woolworths supermarket there was a shop on Chinatown the sold a few guns plus where Westpac is today that Area was a kickboxing gym i went in there Quite alot Britomart Train Station was the Local Chief Post Office that old clock is still where it is today everyone relied on that clock alot nuyz but now it's never on the correct time maybe it's just up to to make the place look pretty but all i can say the Original Train Station on beach Road is alot Bigger alot of people family's friends use to hire the Hull out for there special events you can't do that today in Britomart it's far to small as the years go by its just going to get alot smaller well that's my view on the morning news and everything else that happened back then
