The biggest problem for Napoleon was logistics. The Russian commanders got the their logistics right and Napoleon got his wrong. Disrupting French logistics was a central part of Russian strategy. It wasn't just the weather.

Napoleon should have never occupied Spain. Getting into Spanish politics as well as making his brother king was a move that I feel cost him the Russian campaign. Had he supported Spain instead of occupying it, he could have used Spanish troops as an ally against the English, Spain’s long time enemy. By taking over Spain, and treating their religious communities like underlings, Napoleon alienated the Spanish population against France. But it’s easy to say this now but who knows if the Spanish Royal rulers could have handled their own problems with rebels. France, at the time, was one of the few nations that did not have a king or royal family type leadership, though Napoleon was Emperor. Not at least trying to work with Spanish Royalty was an arrogant move that cost Napoleon and France everything in the end.

It was an informative and wonderful introduction documentary. Shared by an excellent( the war channel) .. Napoleon leadership conquered heart European countries through repeated similar battlefield tactics ,trapped enemies by three sides assaulted victims a, besides the concentration artillery bombarded. Both Austrian 🇦🇹 and Prussian political leaderships immediately declared their defeats ,they raised white flags , and they bounded themselves toward the Napoleon Bonaparte aggressiveness . Russian military leadership continued retreating into the Russian snowing 🌨 heart landscape without having been trapped by Napoleon Grand army, and Russian Tsar stubbornly refused admitted defeat. While the Russian army adopted Gureella warfare to the ward's exhausted French Grand army .. Napoleon Russian campaign faced abortions
