I was in karate 9 years ago while watching this. Related to it so much. I even practiced the techniques Kenichi was learning. It's 2023 now and this anime still touches my heart.

one of the things that makes an anime great is not only the story characters and settings but when it comes to animes the biggest i the opening and closing because a good opening gets you pumped up to watch it and a good ending can make you appreciate/understand the episode better based on the arc or like i said the mood of the episode if you have a crap opening/closing its like throwing a wet blanket on the whole thing

I think it was the combination ofthe song and the visuals in the anime, because I haven't had the same reaction since just a good feeling from the song with my eyes closed.

this is one of those songs that moves you as you listen to it and it was perfect for this anime i wish they had used it a little earlier in the series for the ending if they ever make the rest of the series into anime this would be the ending to use near the end again i was kinda sad when i learned that it was ending after a 12 year run but now maybe they'll do the rest of the anime or better yet maybe a sequel
