For those of you who thinks Our CM Rio favoured Mrs Kruse.Hekani is indeed "very" capable but firstly let me state that Hekani is married to an Angami man, so she is also an Angami, hence no tribal discrimination. Also, She and our CM Rio are from the same village i.e. Touphema, so if Hekani happen to be the minister wouldn't you think people would comment something on that again? That Rio is favouring people from his village? Exactly. people would! In addition, Rio's own brother was elected too, he could've given this opportunity to his brother too, but wouldn't people say he's favouring his own brother like some people are saying he favoured Ma'am Kruse. Also, our CM has not just being elected for no reason, he has a great decision making hence Mrs Kruse is now our minister. I'm not saying this can be the only reason,there may have been many other reasons too, just sharing what I know so far.

If BJP had been adamant for a ministeral berth for Shri kropol for Kohima then I believed Mrs.Hekani from Dimapur/Chumu would have been sworn in as minister. Because district quotas need to be satisfied. But landing a plum portfolio is still the bigger aim for the MLAs. And I'm sure they would both do a good job for their constituency and the State.

If I were Nephui Rio, i would have given the Cabinet position to other legislator and for both the women Advisor Position. Since, both the women are first timers, it's not a wise decision to give cabinet status.

As a woman I felt proud and encouraged to see another woman in power, but as democratic citizen I am curious as to why a newly elected legislator got into cabinet in spite of there being capable ministers with good education, work experience before joining politics and who had been advisors for quite long, those could have been in the cabinet as cabinet involves seniority and experience (particularly as minister)? If there is a difficulty in distribution area wise legislator balance could still have achieve without having to compromise seniority.
