I hope you are having a great day! The video was already done for a few days, but I had some trouble with the automatic system of KZbin, and it was saying there was a possibility for this video to be demonetized. So I had to contact KZbin to ask for a personal review, and no problems were found, so that's good news! Sorry it took a bit longer, but I hope you enjoy the video!

Hey Nick, there's actually one more helmet type after the "m42", it's often referred to as "m45" but really it's a ventless "m42" with a simplified liner that does not have a liner band. The prototype that made what the "m56" ddr helmet what it was, is the B-2 helmet, during the battle of Berlin, the Infanterie division "Potsdam" from Wenck's 12th army and elements of an Infanterie schule were equiped with them in March-April 45. The B-2 helmet came with an m44 style liner and classic "m42" rivets and one authentic example is exposed in Dresden's "Militärhistorisches Museum der Bundeswehr".

The reason I watch your videos is because I just wanted to learn not just about the gear used by the Germans during World War 2, but also the mistakes that they made so that I won’t misconcept them as “anti-Semitic Jew murderers”. Because I have already realized that not all Germans are like that, but the innocent citizens of the country were just manipulated and demanded by a tyrannical dictator as an act of toxic ideology. Once the tyrant was dead, the Germans finally got rid of the memories of their dark side. Now I felt so satisfied that you, in the Netherlands, had the pieces of the old German memories from that era. Keep up the good work, pal. May god bless you very much.

Fairy tale nonsense. They ended usury and created an economic system that didn't depend on sucking the blood of the workers. For that mistake wall Street and the city of London raised an army of mercenaries to crush them. Germany did not start the war. Read the national socialist National geographic issue. While all of Europe and America was being starved to death in the millions in the manufactures great depression, Germany was thriving in as the strongest safest economy and country in the world with their beautiful new national socilaism. All by ending usury. Want to talk about horror... Go read about the allied atrocity "civilian bombings"... Read about dresden. Read the book "Germany must perish".

@History Secrets/Nick - No, you don't talk too much at all. You share the wonderful historical information about each item and that is very much appreciated, which is why you have 249,000 subscribers. :) I hope you have insurance on your collection? If some tragedy occurred, like a house fire or a thief, that would be a horrible loss. Considering the value of your collection, I seem to recall that you actually live in and have your collection in Manila, Philippines, correct? :) Question; I'm curious, do you speak three languages, Dutch, English and German I presume? Do you speak any other languages? Your command of the English language is excellent.

Again that energy of deceased soldiers still attached to a specific item that was very important for him when he was alive (at least it looks like it) Yeah i know, people will laugh at me, but i have the same "problem" with one of my German items (i only collect(ed) German). When i watch a documentairy about WW2 and in the docu when authentic WW2 music is being played, i got the same chills an goose bumps. But not only that At this specific moment, a clearly also smell the textile of the uniforms mixed with a odor of leather, weapon oil and sigar smoke. And it's interesting to note that all my stuff is in another room. And i even don't have uniforms, weapon oil, leather (except the inside of the German helmet), or sigars. I mainly for the biggest part i have medals, decorations, belt buckeles, and some German helmets. One of my German helmet is in 100% condition (M42 no decals), orginal paint, has never been tempered with or restored. About 30 years ago i payed 400 guldens for that specific helmet (about 400 Euro's) So i don't expect people to believe me, but this is what happens from time to time. Especially when at docu's (for instance) the song "Ich brauche kein millionen" (I don't need millions) by " Marika Rökk 1939" or "Ich warte auf dich" (I'll will wait for you) from 1944 is being played. I just wanted to write about it, to some blow off steam, because it's has quite an impact on my life. I'm not being terrorised or something, but the idea that there is somekind of "presence" or energy, is kind uncomforting yet also exciting.

Good Evening Nick. My name is Albert and I am in total awe of your collection, sir. Not many people on earth are like us, my friend. We are a unique breed. Admirers of history in all it's " Glory and Pain." You obviously recognize " Beauty " when you see it. I say that because German uniforms are the most Regal, Stylish, and Elegant uniforms any army has ever worn. I myself collect WW2 German artifacts. I have many officers' uniforms, but mine are replicas. I sometimes even wear pieces to Restaurants and different venues. There are many people who are enthralled with the elegance of these uniforms. I want you to know that many unique people still living on this earth share your same enthusiasm for historical artifacts from the Nazi era... Please continue to educate and inform those of us who are fascinated by this regime. I must admit, if folks like us were alive during that time period, we would have been swept up in the fervor and excitement of the nazi party. How Glorious, How truly Glorious...

When I was a young boy, we had a family move next door. The VonHoffmans, after knowing them for some time Mr.Vonhoffman invited us over for dinner. After dinner, he began to talk about his Military career. Turned out he was an SS Officer. He showed us his medals, luger uniform, and his helmet. The cool part was he let me try it on! An 8-year-old wearing an SS Helmet!! Even then I knew the historical significance of what I had on. I was friends with his son Franz Michel. They moved away suddenly as we had a school principal that was a Holocaust survivor, Mr. Stein who took an interest in his family and reported him. Simon Wiesenthal and another man showed up to investigate and were trying to figure out where they fled to.

That is an amazing collection. I had spent 2 years in Germany in the U.S. army but to own any of what you have displayed could land you in jail at the time and that was back in the early 70s. Mate, i think that your house is actually haunted. There's no way that the sound came from that room could be a coincidence.
