History Told On Walls

This film chronicles the conservation of fifty seriously damaged bas-relief panels that once adorned the Salle des Bijoux (Hall of Jewels) in the Historic Museum at the Royal Palaces of Abomey, a World Heritage Site. Winner of the Gold Remi at the Houston International Film Festival and the Coup de Coeur at AVICOM, France.
This project was a co-production of the Getty Conservation Institute and the West African Republic of Benin's Department of Cultural Patrimony and has won several awards since its release in 1997. Director-Producer: Pedro Pablo Celedón
