He’s my gruncle, and his life is actually very sad. He lives on the barge in the middle of the swamp, and lives off of nutterbutter. Literally nothing else. On season 7 episode 13 show me is with the log buyer from New Orleans and he’s found a “cottonmouth“ on his barge that is stranded up the river. He pulls it out and he’s trying to get it to bite him. Well that’s clearly not a cottonmouth or a water moccasin it is a southern water snake and it is non-venomous. That’s why it’s not trying to bite him, and I’m sure he knows the difference because he grew up in the Bayou where both of these snakes are common but since the southern water snake looks a lot like a cottonmouth into someone who doesn’t know any better, they would assume it’s a cottonmouth because it looks very similar, but it’s non-venomous
