@pendragonsxskywalkers9518 Жыл бұрын
@@jan_phd She wasn't evil. She was woman of her time. We are talking about times when men viewed women as "subjects" and when death penalty was legal. By your logic EVERY man in that time was "evil". And that is far for true - people aren't just good and evil. They are complex. Yes, Cleopatra killed her siblings - after they tried kill her. But we know she was also very supportive partner to Antony and she cared deeply about her children.

Cleopatra seems like a strange choice for a series titled "Ancient Empires." While the first two episodes featured Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar (two well-known empire builders), Cleopatra neither built nor ruled over an empire. She ruled over the Kingdom of Egypt, which by this point was practically a client state to Rome (the narrators even admit to this in the episode).
@Cleeon Жыл бұрын
They're empires of Egypt, because in fact, there is two Egypt, then United, to be empire. Event if Rome only exist in northern Italy, one province only, we still can it an empire, the Latin empire, because in fact, there is many Latin kingdom before, then United to become one.
