I actually don't like it when people come on the show and complain that they have to do it by hand. They are already aware of what tools they have available, before they sign up to come on the show. The fact that he signed up anyway should mean that he feels that he is adequately equipped to compete with the other contestants. Sometimes they act like they think they deserve bonus points or some type of special considerations just because they chose to bring a knife to a gun fight.

@@KevinMartinez-pt5zl Great, just when I thought I wouldn't ever want to go to collage. Yet I need to present you with a question: Can experneice, Practice of smithing and crafting teach the skills, and will thise skills be equall, to those taught you by an experienced mentor/teacher?
@Jezza_C_WT5 жыл бұрын
I went to a dedicated welding school and while there learned basic fabrication skills. One of the first things we did was build a forged chipping hammer to use for the year, so that was a good introduction into basic metal-smithing. Once you understand the process, it's fairly simple, but you're only going to get good with a lot of practice. It's a great feeling using a tool you've built yourself from raw materials.
@Dr.C-Crow5 жыл бұрын
@@Jezza_C_WT Yeah. experience is always the best of teachers. Trail and error. Just gonna slowly buy up thr tools and other equipment until finally I'm forging my own weapons. Thank ya for sharing, and those sound like awesome memories!
@Jezza_C_WT5 жыл бұрын
@@Dr.C-Crow Honestly, with this kind of work, You're only going to understand what's happening with the metal on a molecular level, and why you need to do the things you do from either an experienced mentor, or a lot of reading, and trial and error. The problem with the trial and error approach is that it's incredibly expensive, and dangerous. You don't want to be the guy who found out the hard way not to do something when basic safety and precautions you need to take, can be taught by someone who knows that they are doing. That said, it's not impossible, it's just the long hard way to reach the same goal.

The first two hits with Trevor's weapon felt painfully easy for the wielder. If it were up to just those two wounds, how fatal are they? (I mean, I know that they're probably fatal, but how much time would a medic have to try and fix that before the victim passes away?)
