I'm curious I have a question and I'm looking for your opinion. This year and last year's show have you noticed a big difference in how they are editing and piecing the show together. It sure seems to me that they are mixing old and new information together to make the new episodes. It seems to me as if they are not publicly adding everything they are doing on the episodes and they are taking bits and pieces and putting them together to make their episodes instead of staying in the proper timeline

My dad was a prospector and treasure hunter most of his life and I read about Oak Island when I was 12 and talked to my dad about it for years. But I have a very interesting untold story about the finding of the Atocha treasure and pictures and would love to tell you about it as a treasure hunter. I love the show. My dad taught me to scuba dive when I was 10 in 1960 before there were scuba shops or certifications. I dove with professional treasure divers at 15 on their boat for a week off the coast of Key Largo as my dad had a connection. I also metal detect which is about all the treasure hunting I do, but the Atocha and the Santa Margarita were found by a very good friend working freelance for Mel Fisher and just know he got no credit or share for finding them. My dad drove his jeep to Ecuador in the 60's and had claims far out in the jungle the produced well, but logistics and other issues made him have to return to Texas. Prospectors are still taking gold from that area today. Wishing you the best of luck with Oak Island. Your Fan, Chuck

There is an ancient Iroquois Lead mine in an area known as Klipnocky Forest near the settlement of North Almond near where I live here in Upstate New York about 90 miles southeast of Buffalo, that predates the United States by centuries. The Iroquois were hesitant in showing settlers for unexplained reasons with the riddle "Three days to and one day back". To this day only the most local of locals know its exact location. Even I don't know its exact latitude and longitude. 50 miles west of that Lead mine south of Olean, NY is a place called Rock City which is home to the oldest set of stairs in the region that predates the Iroquois Confederacy. If and when you want a change of scenery would that be something of interest to you? I wouldn't be surprised if it is somehow related perhaps indirectly to Oak Island. Love the show and hope to someday make the journey to see Oak Island for myself. I just hope that there will still be some unsolved mysteries when I get there.
@ThatKiwiDudeTV4 жыл бұрын
So the 90foot stone said 40 feet below 2 million is buried, One would have to assume the money pit has been drilled to 130 feet and nothing found, The Laginas drilled to 171feet and found a cavern which was empty, a sea water resovior for the traps that run the island. My theory is that the freed slave guy who owned all the land found what was left after the McGuiness's took the intial chests.

I really love this show and at 70, I've read everything written over the years, but one thing has always bothered me in the original story... the block and tackle hanging on the branch over the "money pit." I would ask you, who would leave that valuable of a tool hanging over an elaberate hiding place that you just spent months constructing? It is the last thing you'd do. The three young men found the treasure 200 years ago and did everything possible to lead people to believe there was something still buried beneath that old oak tree. It took many men digging for months and the three young men also want us to believe that they happened to notice lights on the island only on the very last night of all those months of work? There is no major treasure left on Oak Island... it was found and removed by those three hundreds of years ago.
@MrBugulNoz4 жыл бұрын
@@davidsoule1444 I wonder if the tunnel they dug up and found near the old man's house towards the end of the season will lead to anything other than another season of hope? I believe that the money pit is a deal end.
@davidsoule14444 жыл бұрын
@@MrBugulNoz It's very possible... there is probably something of value buried on the island, but the treasure has long ago become the lucrative contract with the History Channel. The brothers wouldn't still be digging if it was coming out of their pockets. Not to the degree they have been anyway. They've become the treasure.

I have a question for those involved with Oak Island or anyone as curious as me.....I was messing around with google earth earlier and typed in Oak Island/ money pit...and it takes me to the whole of the bay and not directly down onto Oak Island..so I was scanning around and came up on what I thought I was looking for but it was a different island...BUT, it was eerily similar to Oak Island, and it has what people refer to as an elephant's trunk but pointing out instead of curled up...and it has a "triangular shape swamp" area....maybe Oak Islands brother.....idk ....it is called "Covey's Island"....wish I could post the screenshots that I took

Hi, I love this mystery. My comment do you guys ever think that maybe over the years the amount of traffic from sailers etc. Has just ended up with the island becoming a hodgepodge junk yard. Some people found things others just left junk behind during their stay. One more thing I thought of could the swamp be a make shift drydock of sorts where it was just a good place to stop and fix their ship then going on to another place. Just my thoughts. Good luck!

He may have found a treasure but I don’t think he ever wanted to be very obvious to attract a lot of attention. He probably made a secret tunnel underneath his house to hide a parcel of some treasure from another location. I’d be paranoid about having burglars searching my home when I’m in town.
@marinadeoudes80824 жыл бұрын
I believe there's a good possibility he did. As far as I know there's never been any known explanation as to how Mr. Ball acquired his wealth, so to me the logical conclusion would be he found the treasure. Of course he may have been in business and earned money and worked hard to buy the land, but wouldn't there be some sort of record of this? The show would have mentioned as much if he had.

Given that the final episode revealed how much underground movement and now an unstable water table is revealed, and huge infusions of funds needed to get to any of the tunneled areas. I do not see how the fellowship of the dig can continue. The other thought I have though is unless the depositors died in the tunnel, the location of any treasure has moved...probably to South America. If the real depositors were between 1200 AD to 1700 AD what insane method was there to dig the tunnels, much less keep the tunnels from destroying everyone involved. What reinforcements, and who designed the death traps. How could any group sustain themselves given the harsh Canadian winters? What would be the budget for season 8? Sorry, I do not have magic wishes to make it happen. I hope the show continues, best regards, Robert M. Potter

When drilling with the can in the money pit they hit the cement box, it disappeared. How did it disappear? It slid beneath a hole in the bedrock. It was on a platform designed to give way when disturbed and an angled hole drilled in bedrock slid the chest to further depths. This is how it disappeared, this is why you can find no trace. This is why you have found numerous hard rock mining tools on the island. In all your exploration where have you found any tunnel in hard rock? Explain the tools, explain how the chest disappeared. I just did. The Law of Parsimony, Occam's Razor tells us to make a straight line to the most logical conclusion. In this case the straight line goes below the bedrock to a cavity where the treasure rests. My gut tells me the only way to solve the mystery is open pit mine the money pit to bed rock. I use to run a core drilling unit in a large mine. In an email I explained what you guys were doing wrong. No one emailed me back. Get the dirt out of the way, pump out the water and if it is there you will find it.

I would assume if there were treasure there, it would more than likely be a massive pile of religious relics with no coinage. Relics from Egypt to Israel and everywhere in-between. Honestly, if someone buried a massive treasure trove, they were not concerned with coins and that seems to be a bit of an issue in how this scenario would turn out.
