It's not a popular opinion but MODC is one of my favorite BL. I think the last episode was so tragic, but the acting in that episode was on point and the show before that was so funny and loving and wonderful.

last time I watched this video was before I watched this show and at the time I really wasn't sure whether I even wanted to watch it because I knew about the sad ending - but now I totally do NOT regret watching it (though I'll admit that I made the decision to watch everything EXCEPT the last episode, self-care and all). It's such a fun show and I grew to love the characters so much, especially Haoting and his friends and Xigu, too. I think it's because we grew to love these characters and their goofiness so much that the reaction to the last episode was so extreme. I for one am happy to pretend it ended with them moving in together.

Yep - lazy writing for the end. MODC was a celebration of friendship and first love. Many other ways to end this story that would have been satisfying and touching (even if not purely happy ever after).

FYI Line TV (which is the network which broadcast the history franchise) has announced that the second season of Make Our Days Count is in pre-production. So maybe you shouldn’t forget the last episode because it can be important for the second season. Ah and another FYI, the main couple (Xiang Hao Ting and Yu Xi Gu) has made a cameo in Japanese BL series Life Senjou no Bokura.
