Wilder's lightning brigade was so overpowered. Also Minty's Saber charge at Shelbyville was dank as fuck. Love the videos

Rosecran decision to fool Bragg was a masterpiece. Patience brings great value if a person has the courage maintain his original vision.

Rosecran's victory at Tullahoma is just as important as the Union victories at Gettysburg and Vicksburg, but are overshadowed by those victories.

I wouldn’t say just as important, but huge nonetheless

Gettysburg: reset the eastern theater to the status quo but was a needed morale boost. Tullahoma: Gained a 50 mile wide stretch of central Tennessee. Vicksburg: Wiped out a Confederate army of 40,000, destroyed the state capital, opened Mississippi River to navigation, opened the Mississippi River valley to USCT recruitment which added 20,000 troops to the federal side and eventually freed the bulk of the Army of Tennessee to join in the effort against Georgia. Not even close.

So great to see a forgotten campaign covered. I’m still taken aback about the exchange between Stanton and Rosecrans as it relates to the campaign.
@nathanappleby534211 ай бұрын
That was part of the rivalry that existed between the two on account of Rosecrans's argumentative personality. Campaigns successfully fought with little to no loss of life that secure a major objective are always worth attention and praise.

I'm hoping one day you would be able to do Wheelers raid(October 1863) You woud be the first to have any kind of detailed information on it. I've never been able to study it bc no one has taken the time on it. Thanks

It was a miracle Old Rosy made it this long, he had more excuses for inaction that everyone except maybe McClellan

For sure. In his defense, his army was recovering and rebuilding in the aftermath of the Battle of Stones River and he moved out when he knew he was ready.
@williampaz209210 ай бұрын
But when he did move, he moved brilliantly and with speed. He simply tricked Braxton Bragg out of one position after another..

Love the telegraph that Rosecrans sent to Stanton. He was telling the truth.
