@@HistoryMysteryMan yeah you have some of these gals coming up now that are going to win some races.... nothing against their forebears like Danica and people like her but it appears to me that these gals coming up now are just that much better...and I think owners with better equipment feel more comfortable putting them in a really good car...and not trying to sound chauvinistic but I think that was a problem in the beginning with women drivers...not so much so now...these gals are legit....🏎️🏎️🏎️

Ferns remindes me of a cross between a lady I worked with named alisha, and the facial features of this family I go to church with at least from a distance. you must have got there early usually by the time I arive at a race they have their firesuites on, would have been neat to go to the race there on my birthday but went to bc39 and was tuckered out from driving and cost is a big factor on travel beside I was headed to a big buffet in decator indiana at the back 40 if you never been there you should go sometime, they have good crab on friday, and hold the phone Taylor is going to be a lawer who knew

@@HistoryMysteryMan yea I wish gas was lower like it was 2 years back, would not be as much of an issue, and I would not hesitate to go down to gas city or take a night off to go to kokomo or montpilier, or circle city for that matter on a show I was interested in, I really want to check out montpilier it started as a horse track in the late 1800's it one of the oldest in use in the usa, if only they had sprints they dont at least not this year and they are in a rebuilding year, as they had some staffing problems like the owner or promotor last year had to stop due to age or something like that or just stuff going on so its a rebuild year, last year in 2021 we were soo blessed in indiana the new track at circle city and plymith was still dirt, and we had several winged 410 sprints and even the world of outlaws doing shows at kokomo and I think gas city, now the closest they did around here was eldora, or maybe lake odessa in michigan, and the allstars had shows in indiana now this year not one dispite being owned by tony steward and very much based in indiana, they did a show in lima ohio which is not too far but I forgot when it was and did not get the day off to go and seems the sprints on dirt series has either taken a year off or disbanded, they were the ones that I first saw at baer field and avilla in the 1990's and where bryan tyler raced for a time, as well as his brother bill, and the reign of Hurrying Hank Lower from angola same city as zeb wise and derick bischak also openwheel racers on in winged 410's and the other in pavement silver crown and usac pavement sprints. funny thing about the sod series sprints a distant relative on moms side was the promoter at baer field and the owner of the sod sprints, dave muzzillo, and if all went to plan was to buy baer field at the end of the year but the owner died I guess the story is and his sons in colorado did not want to be absentee owners and decided to not renew the contract and put the raceway up for sale for over a million even though it needed tons of work and the track repaved since I guess the last time it was is in 1997 ish and I was there twice that season once for the iceman latemodel series and I remember they watered the track to keep it from getting too hot and explained how while it mightl look more like something they do at eldora they did not want the new pavement to crack and weather too fast so they brought out a tank truck with some water to cool it that hot day, the other time I went I think was for fireworks night before three rivers festival, now I hear that though some local guys here in dekalb county were going to buy the track but they were outbid by gm who was going to use it for part of a test track for the silverados they build in roanoke indiana right outside of fort wayne, and they were going to tear all the stands and stadium down, but now I hear they are saying the tracks are too small so now they are not going to do that I am going to go out there to confirm if its still up or not today when I travel to fort wayne for a dentist appointment afterward, and I said tracks as there was an inner that was used as a dirt for motorbikes and I think sprints that was a quarter mile ish and the big half mile with a turnoff for a 3/8ths so they had two main tracks that would be used for the slower cars like streets and dwarfs or late models with the sportsmans or semi lates and mods and sprints using the big half mile often except on special nights, though I dont know how aquanted you were with the track though seems you are well traveled around the two states here in indiana and ohio. I guess they also had a dirt half at bryan at one point, never went there though its just a hair over the boarder from here up by auburn, my cousin did that last year to see the sod sprints race there and said it was really ran down, and I had just recently remembered to look up about the track in bryan as I remember there was one there. and last I had heard they raced go karts there, I read online about it that it was mainly closed due to the people at the country club complaining about the noise, I thought to my self really? oh we would not want to upset the well to do from playing their golf game, while we less well to do folk have our fun and have our leasure. though I dont know the whole story or much about bryan speedway for that mater and only saw one add for it on tv while all the time I would see and hear ads for avilla, and it would give me such an adrenalin rush as a teen hearing saturday saturday sat sat saturday avilla motor speedway ! echoing on the radio, I know that sort of ad was used to death all over on media for races and monstertruck rallys but I liked it. thing is when we lost baer field we lost one of the few half miles in indiana and I think the only one in the north the rest are a few 3/8's and bull rings though seems the others out there like the small bullrings and say it is more fair for the drivers since its not just the guy with the best engine winning since he or she can open it up and lead, and its easier on the cars and motors, I myself like the big tracks and if you dont have at least a half you cant even think about racing silver crowns or some of the other big series, not even an option dirt or pavement, half seems to be the dividing mark small enough that locals can run it, but big enough for the larger and more powerful cars and national series to visit potentially, as it stands we only have terre haute where silver crowns can run dirt in indiana thanks to the state fair board paveing over the half mile at the state fair, and limestoning the track of champions so they can train harness horses and chase the gambling money, though up north and west of here yes the amish and the farmers have lots of horses and its a big thing for them as well as the tracks at shelbyvill and anderson, but they as far as I know dont even race harness at the state fair only train t hem there, like what the heck you spend all that money and you dont even hold a race at the state fair? seriously? sarry for my tangent HMM I belive one of the racecar drivers you were intervewing called you Don right?
