The only reason I can imagine is that the U.S. entertainment companies carefully 'package' their performers, knowing that they can have them lip synch the vocals during live performances. Ailee's live stuff is terrific, I'm guessing because of all the practice she gets on the South Korean TV shows, and her desire to do it right.

Deb B I agree with you there but I was referring to the other amazing Korean singers that aren't idols there's a lot of them. I've notice on KZbin people say so&so is the best singer when they always neglect the non-idols. Remember idols only refer to the younger generation singers.

Sxnsxr AB Hyorin is good, just different style. Sort of like Barbra Streisand and oh, Diana Ross. Both excellent, terrific entertainers, both very distinctive voices. But different. I prefer Ailee's singing over Hyorin. And speaking of non-idol singers (or older, ex idol singers), I prefer Bada over both, but I'm not crazy about all her newer stuff. Still, Bada has one of those distinct voices that you know the instant you hear her.
