HIT OR MISS?? Fendi SS25 The first collection celebrating 100 YEARS!!!

A numbered list: 1.- The official meaning of the FF logo is "Fun Furs", Karl did say so many times and since he created it that's it despite mutating meanings since the other meanings are also fitting 2.-The bi-textural Peekaboos are a nod to spring 2015 when several Peekaboos were produced in a suede-to patent finish with a similar color variation besides a few items of Ready-to-Wear... so happy hunting if anyone is interested in a slouchy Peekaboo with the same effect at non current exotic prices 3.- The little mink charm is also from the archives, this time Spring 2017. I think they're supposed to be either raspberries or chrysanthemums, the only thing they changed is the color pallete. They were available for 2 seasons: pastel colors for spring and dark moody colors for pre-fall... so again happy hunting if this following generation of grey-ges is not your thing. The tiny little tulle bag charm could be a "tea bag" to go with the "jam jar" and I'm obsessed!!! 4.- Dayle, remember how last week you were saying you didn't like the Mamma Baguette? Technically all of these are Mammas in the 2 original sizes and the new nano, and they're all mammas because they are "triangular" from the side instead of "rectangular" (they are actually all trapezoidal but whatever) and this is only like the 4th time they've been on the runway despite being in production at the same time as the Baguette up until Spring 2013 (this the last time it was in a show and the newest documented versions I've seen on resale but I'm not entirely sure when they actually stopped making them). 5.- I have no idea of where the new structured bag could have come from so it could be VERY old OR just a new interpretation of the original Fendi Flip from Resort 2019 (not to be confused with the Fendi Flip from this spring that should still be available in stores because i don't think anyone actually bought them). In the other one I see a reinterpretation of the Simply Fendi but in a more structured wristlet form, we'll see when they put a name on it. 6.- The boots are a collaboration with the American boot maker company Red Wing 🤗🤗🤗

Loving the look of the soft Peekaboo and the squishy Baguettes, I love the pale greens. They remind me of the soft colours of Japanese ceramics, and the mesh bags with the flowers inside make me think of spring. I love all the beading on the bags and dresses and my favourite RTW is the wrap shirt. I enjoyed your take on the collection, thank you for sharing your thoughts and excitement 🥰

I wish more KZbinrs would create videos like this! I thought that the show was so beautiful and fresh. I instantly was drawn to the fringe, peekaboo soft bags, and of course thought of Karl when I saw the little fruit and flower bag charms. I must have one! I am also going to wait and see what these pieces look like when they go into production. Sometimes I don’t see anything I would actually buy, but once I can see all of the colors and versions laid out, there’s often something that sparks my fancy.😋

Fendi has absolutely read the zeitgeist with this collection. The softness and fluidity is just divine. I am not a fan of the baguette but these are in a different category altogether. Even the plain nappa versions with wristlet are like the most divinely crafted emotional support cuddly bags ever. I think you nailed it with your review. What a combo grunge and deco! It’s the most exciting thing I’ve seen in a long long time.

It is such a stunning collection, the designs are just outstanding - really love the merging of the ages and styles in such a fresh way, a beautiful reflection of FENDI’s DNA. The baguettes are just next level, my jaw dropped to the floor when the light blue and greens appeared with that outstanding craftmanship - it will be so interesting to see what comes out. I am also in love with the boots. I have convinced my husband that we need to go to Rome next year 😊and I am hoping that Fendi puts on something spectacular. Great video, Dayle 💕

I love your explanations and your appreciation for the smallest details so much. It tells a lot about your character. 😍 I like to collection because it’s really showcases this celebration moment with all the embroideries but unfortunately, a lot of the ready to wear is very unwearable. I’m sure more commercial versions will come to store. For the bags I’m also quite interested which one will make the cut. But I’m in love with those flower bouquet embroideries on the baguettes. I’m loving those soft baguettes! Not so much the drawstring element but the leather looks so amazing! And I’m liking that green color but it’s a bit warm for me also. That first croc bag with the brown to camel. Oh my gosh! But the soft peekaboo is my favorite. A bit too large for me but perfect if it was a bit smaller.

Dayle you gave me the giggles w initial pics reminded me of a man’s singlet/wife beater in the US (that’s what my Floridian RL cousins call ‘em), an old petticoat, torn diagonally. Thank you, Dayle, for forcing me to rethink Fendi SS25. I hated both the men's & women's RTW collections as intensely as i loved both the men's & women's AW24 collections. I expect the individual pieces to be stunningly made -- this is Fendi, after all -- but the styling and the set design worked against them. Instead of spending money on that stupid hydraulic central platform, they could have just rented wall-to-wall monitors for product closeups, to focus the audience attention correctly. If the runway show was taken off youtube, then i must not be the only one who excoriated it. But yes. Because of you, I will wait for what goes into production for SS25, and reconsider my wallet-vote then.
