Since you mentioned concert, EXO'S CONCERT ARE INSANE. from stage performances to vocals to even trying to purchase an online ticket. So far they still hold the number 1 spot for fastest concert ticket worldwide with 0.2 seconds ticket sold-out. Its always hard to get an Exo ticket but it's one of my dreams to attend one before I die.

@@thebillboard500club I just hope you're going to react to EXO-Planet #3 concert : The EXO'rDIUM in Japan since you're more into the music production. EXO's concert mostly lasted between 2 and 3 hour except EXO-Planet #1 (around 1h50m); also in one part they sang 4 - 5 complete songs from slow to hype to acoustic medley. Yes,this song is different because it has a different producer, if "Monster" is the creation of LDN Noise, "Love shot" was made by MARZ Music, these two producers gave EXO most of their hits.

Wow I guess musician’s ears are really different. You pointed out things I never noticed before. Maybe I’m too focused on exo’s vocals. This is my new favorite reaction channel, together with Higher Faculty. I don’t even know if you can call this a reaction channel, it’s more like a free music class. 😂 I hope you get to write a song for exo one day!! I’m also curious to see your two scents on their concerts. I know most artists switch things up for their concerts to make it more engaging, but they have one song called Wolf that they remixed for their live performance. The remix version is miles away from the original. If you do start reacting to their concerts, look for the Seoul clips. Although their Japan concerts are sometimes better, reactors have said they always have trouble with the Japanese versions as it gets easily taken down. I hope more people watch your videos!!

@@thebillboard500club As EXO are the real vocal powerhouses, they can pull off the vocal parts of ANY AMOUNT OF DIFFICULTY, so it is a pleasure to create songs for them - there is no restriction, they can execute anything perfectly (no matter if it is studio version or live). While reacting to their live performances, keep in mind that during the filming of EXO'rDium concert in Seoul the main dancer of EXO - Kai was injured, so the Seoul version of EXO'rdium is Kailess. The Japanese version of EXO'rDium is much better in quality and Kai has also recovered by the filming of EXO'rDium in Japan. If you won't make the reaction to EXO's live performances in Japan, at least watch it for yourself and see the difference.

Louis Tomlinson - Back to You. There is an article that Louis Tomlinson and 5 other producers behind Back To You have been added to the composer/author list of EXO‘s Love Shot on GEMA, a German copyright association that handles the licensing of songs and performances. The addition is considered as SM Entertainment’s admission for the similarities between the two songs while avoiding public acknowledgment of the accusations.

As with most of EXO's songs and MVs, the song and the story in the MV are two separate things. There are two messages that the story tells in the MV. Yes, the story in the MV is loosely based on the lyrics of the song, but the main point of the MV is mostly to tell another part of EXO's story and to help explain what they are doing here on Earth as part of their mission. Part of EXO's mission is they are constantly fighting against and battling the Red Force for control. The Red Force is thought to be here on Earth inflicting their evil agenda and corrupting humanity and causing all the bad things that are happening in the world such as war, hate and destruction of the environment, etc. While on their quest to locate and protect the Tree of Life, EXO is also tasked with trying to fix everything the Red Force has caused. And because EXO is trying to undo and prevent the Red Force from accomplishing their goals, the Red Force is also trying to take down EXO by capturing them, corrupting them and standing in their way, etc. Everything EXO is involved in, and I literally mean almost everything, is connected in some way to their concept and storyline. EXO's MVs are kind of like a movie -- it's a movie that has been going on for the past 9 years -- since predebut -- and it has no sign of coming to an end any time soon. The one thing you have to keep in mind with all of EXO's MVs, and I really mean all of them -- including their sub-sub-unit MVs and a majority of the member's solo MVs. And because Baekhyun and Kai are involved, even SuperM's storyline -- is that they are all connected and they all tell a little more of EXO's story and why they are on Earth, etc. From day one, EXO's concept is that they are aliens from planet Exo and they came to Earth with superpowers to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces. Each of the members has a superpower that is unique to them and almost every MV will have at least one, if not all of them, using their powers. Exo, as in exoskeleton, means "outer," so as a member of EXO they are outside the ordinary.The group's concept comes from the real term exoplanet, which is a term that is used for a planet that is outside our solar system, so their name was chosen to represent the fact that they are stars that are "out of this world" when it comes to their talents. SM Entertainment has all of EXO's release dates and concepts planned out for years in advance, and it's all designed to connect as part of SM's Universe. Now you also need to know that In the beginning there was 12 members and they were split up into 2 groups EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K sang and performed their songs in Korean and EXO-M sang and performed those same songs in Mandarin Chinese. EXO-K had 6 Korean members and EXO-M had 4 Chinese members and 2 Korean members. So to really understand their full origin story you have to watch both the K and the M version of their debut song and MV "Mama". However, since then, 3 of the 4 Chinese members have left the group (short answer to focus on their solo work back in China) but there is still one Chinese member left, Lay. (Any performances or MVs you watch that took place prior to May 2014 you will see all 12 members.) However, now, because they no longer have enough Chinese members they no longer do separate promotions, but they still produce almost all of their MVs and main songs in both Korean and Mandarin they just now promote all as one big group EXO with 9 members. However, there are 8 members in "Love Shot." EXO's Chinese member Lay was not able to participate in this MV. So each new MV or project from EXO tells another part of the story, and over the years we fans have started to create a timeline and idea of what we think each part of the story is telling us. In "Love Shot" I'm not sure why they first ended up at the gas/service station or the cinema/movie theater, but the story in this MV is all about how the Red Force is trying to corrupt and control them. For example, most fans agree, that Xiumin may have been captured by the Red Force. If you notice, Xiumin is squaring off with a group of guys with guns, but a few seconds later we see someone with a mask and when the mask is removed you see that it's Xiumin, which seems to show that he may not be who we think he is. And when Chen is sitting in the theater watching the film, you see what fans agree is Suho, as the leader, probably trying to protect the members and prevent Chen from watching the film which is thought to be the Red Force trying to control EXO with whatever is playing on the screen, etc. You also see references to the movie screen with Chen being projected on the screen in their MV for "Lucky One" and the scene where Suho is running through the forest in their MV for "For Life," etc. These instances seem to be showing times when the Red Force are using the videos to brainwash EXO and to keep them incapacitated so they don't try to fight back or escape, etc. In "Love Shot" one theory is that the members are fighting to discover who has been corrupted by the Red Force and who may not be who they say they are, etc., which I see as a sort of continuation of the story in EXO's "Tempo" MV, which is why you see them being very suspicious pointing their guns -- which are filled with alcohol -- at each other. (Get it? the song is called "Love Shot" so it has a double meaning: Love Shot like a gun and Love Shot like a shot of alcohol. :D) The flowers have two purposes, one is they represent Love and EXO is collecting love, but also the flowers are a big part of EXO's storyline. There has been a flower theme that continues throughout all of EXO's MVs. The flowers are thought to be something that EXO is collecting and trying to get rid of to prevent the Red Force from being able to control people, etc. They often collect the flowers and then burn them, like you see in "Love Shot" and in EXO-CBX's "Hey Mama." Blue roses also have some sort of significance, but I am not sure what yet -- we see EXO with a blue rose in their concert performances of "Lightsaber" and we see Sehun with a blue rose in "Love Shot." Some of what happens in this story is explained by past MVs and other parts will hopefully, be explained as the story continues in future MVs. Baekhyun is actually one of the main characters in EXO's storyline so he is often set apart or singled out in EXO's MVs. He is often the one that stands alone or is highlighted in the story. In their "Power" MV Baekhyun has been singled out and is sort of separated from the other members. Which seems to suggest maybe Baekhyun is the only member that hasn't been corrupted by the Red Force. So that is why in their"Tempo" MV and in "Love Shot" we see Baekhyun standing on top of the building looking down on the rest of the members, almost as if he is observing them from another dimension or from another time period. Baekhyun is often the one who is going behind the sense to help EXO. For example, we see him disguised as a member of the police as he rescues the other members from the back of the police van in their"Monster" MV, and we see Baekhyun facing off with and confronting Xiumin in "Love Shot." :D And now that we have discovered that the Red Force has created X-EXO, EXO's evil clones, as part of EXO's more recent MV, "Obsession", I am also starting to think that maybe in "Love Shot" we aren't just seeing EXO. I think maybe when we see the members dressed in the bright colors -- for example, when they are in their suits -- this might be X-EXO and when we see the scenes were they are in black, this could be EXO. Because, in "Obsession" we find out that the members in all black are EXO the good guys, and when we see them in the colorful outfits with the crazy hair and makeup that is their X-EXO alter ego clones. This could also explain why Kai is dressed in a red suit. Although I am sure their stylists put him in red because he looks really good in it, I think SM chose it because it's another hidden message within the storyline. Usually, whenever we see red in EXO's MVs this has something to do with the Red Force, so for a long time I have been wondering why then would they put Kai in a red suit? However, now that we know about the X-EXO members, I am starting to think that when we see the members in their colorful suits and clothing in "Love Shot" this is actually the X-EXO members, so when we see Kai in red this is his alter ego clone, as well as the other members when we see them in suits, etc. I also think maybe the members who are collecting all the flowers in "Love Shot" are really X-EXO, as part of some evil plot, etc. If you look at the members expressions and the outfits they are wearing in the scenes where you see them collecting the flowers, this reminds me a lot of what they looked like in their MV for "Ko Ko Bop." Since "Obsession," theories now think that what the "Ko Ko Bop" MV was showing us was X-EXO right after they were created as they are becoming acclimated to the world and learning how to use their powers, etc. Which would explain why everything in the "Ko Ko Bop" MV is so brightly colored as well. But you should also know that no one really knows for sure what is happening in any of EXO's MVs. There are well known theories and storylines that are accepted within the fandom which we think might explain what is happening in each MV. And there are theories about how each MV is connected and where each falls within their larger storyline, but nothing is set in stone. Fan theories are constantly evolving and changing with every new piece of the puzzle. For a list of the members and what they superpowers are please check out my reply attached to this comment.

If you pay attention to the lyrics in the Korean and Mandarin versions of all of EXO's songs you will see that most of the time the lyrics will be slightly different because the story is being told from a different perspective. Plus, when translating anything into another language it's almost guaranteed that there will be some differences because in order to make it make sense in a different language the wording and meaning may need to be changed slightly. And even though the two versions of EXO's MVs may look similar on the surface, if you take the time to really study both versions of their MVs, you will see that SM often puts special Easter egg clues in each MV that makes them different than each other. That is why they have to film two different versions of their MVs because they are never the same, the members often have different parts in each MV. EXO-M is still an important part of EXO's storyline even though they don't promote as separate groups anymore. To help you pinpoint the powers being used in their MVs and live performances, here is a list of the members and what their special power is. EXO-K 💦 Suho (Kim JunMyeon) is the leader of the group and he is a lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control water (Fun fact: Suho in Korean means guardian, as in the guardian of EXO. That's why as the leader of EXO, his stage name is Suho) 💡Baekhyun is a main vocalist and his superpower is the ability to control light 🔥Chanyeol is the main rapper and lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control fire and his spirit animal is the phoenix. 🌏D.O. (Do KyungSoo) is a main vocalist and his power is the ability to control earth (dirt) which gives him strength/force ☄Kai (Kim JongIn) is a main dancer, lead vocalist and sub-rapper and his power is teleportation (Kai means opening as in a door or gateway, so his stage name is meant to symbolize his role in the group.) 🌪Sehun is the youngest member of the group and he is a lead rapper, lead dancer and a vocalist -- his power is the ability to control wind EXO-M ❄Xiumin (Kim MinSeok) is the oldest member of the group and he is a lead vocalist and lead rapper and his power is the ability to control snow/ice (frost) 🦄 Lay (Zhang Yixing) is the Chinese member of the group, he is a main dancer, lead vocalist and rapper -- his power is the ability to heal anything. 🌩 Chen (Kim JongDae) is a main vocalist and his power is the ability to control thunder/lightning/electricity (As you can see, Xiumin and Chen were given stage names that sounded more Chinese so they would fit in better in EXO-M because they are the Korean members of the Chinese group) The Chinese members that are not in this MV, but are important to EXO's storyline: 🐉 Kris was the leader of EXO-M he was a main rapper and vocalist -- his power was the ability to fly and his spirit animal was a dragon (Kris left the group in April 2014.) 💭 Luhan was a main vocalist and his power was telekinesis (The ability to control things with his mind) (Luhan left the group in October 2014.) ⏰Tao (Z.Tao) was a lead rapper and vocalist and the martial artist of the group, so he did the flips and stunts in the group's routines. His power was the ability to control time (Tao ended activities with EXO in August 2015.)

I agree I was so ha with myself for having noticed the gun shot sound before, but he didn't mention the liquid drop sound during the second chorus. It's the sound effect that works for the double meaning of love shot. Which is that a love shot is a drink. Which is why the guns have bubbly liquid in them. I love the duality of this song and that they express both meanings with the audio

FYI, all SM mvs from around 2018 and earlier do not have English CCs!! So if you are intrested in understanding the lyrics, I recommend that you either look up the english translations or watching a 'color coded lyrics' video before or after watching the MV!! As you know, SM has created this large universe so some songs have important lyrics that explain their story and correlate with the MV! Therefore, I think it would be a good idea to check out the lyrics if the MV doesn't already have them! And also, i love hearing other people's interpretations of lyrics!

Yup that's CHEN one of Exo's Main vocalists and if you look at most of their physical albums throughout the years, in the credit sections of each songs it will say background vocals done by CHEN :) His my bias/favorite because his vocals always attract my attention whenever he sings. But again as a fan I appreciate all the boys in this amazing group and everyone who worked with them to create such amazing songs and their complex storyline concept.

I had known about a few things from Monster, just because LDN noise did a vocal only reveal/analysis of Monster at KCon, and they removed all the instrumentation. It was pretty wild, and I heard a lot of things I never noticed. This series is a lot like that video, and it's fascinating. I find SM songs to be so musically interesting, and vocally...totally unmatched. I hope to see more of these! EXO's B-sides are even better, in my estimation. Hope you plan on delving into those at some point in the future. P.S. where did you learn all of this fancy music psychology/sociology stuff? Or is it just something you learned as you went along?

Legend says a long time ago Kai fought for Growl to be title track (SM wanted Wolf ) and won. Same thing happened with Tempo and LOve Shot and the second one was released as title track for the repackage. This was actually told by Suho in radio interview and I thank kai everyday for being so hardheaded (and know best)

So loveshot theory is that it was confusing at first as to why they were breaking in to steal flowers but after obsession mv was released later on we finally pieced together that it mightve been X-Exo that we have been following along doing bad things without knowing. While EXO was somewhere else trying to find each other or in another parallel universe like in their latest DFTF mv.

I love music but never had the chance to study it formally so I indulge in watching videos of people talking about the music, but there aren't many channels that go this deeply into the details of the production, structure, harmonies and signature styles of artists. I am glad you are reacting to EXO! They are some of my favorite vocalists and I adore how their voices sound together! I would love it if you reacted someday to WayV, a group from the same company, they mostly sing in chinese, and are a sub unit of the bigger group NCT. I find many WayV songs very epic sounding, particularly the choruses, but I don't know why they give me this impression. As a group, EXO has consistently followed the story line from debut to the present...sometimes with strong nuances and sometimes subtle. They are constantly at war with this alien race that makes doubles/copies/replicas of EXO. Here, there are references to the mask, the eye and the hooded men in black...even the reference to personal struggle between love and hate. Some theories in their latest mini-album hint of a parallel universe. For avid followers that is like the extras that make their MVs more interesting. But even without it, they are incredible singers, rappers, dancers and performers. They are also quite humble, down to earth and approachable considering their star status.
