Bought one of these used with a special edition Hitachi framing nailer and 2 ram sets for $75. and everything works perfect. Compressor is a little loud but I've used it to paint with a 2 quart pressure pot and provided plenty of air.

Mine does the same thing. From what I’ve heard, it has a known issue with the unloader valve in that the rubber stopper swells with the condensation in the compressed air, making it unable to take the pressure off the compressor to start.

I’m working on my ec12 to replace pressure switch and I noticed the angle of your pressure switch is angled down mine comes straight out so I can get to the release valve easily and also your audio sound perfect

just a note on your big compressor. I have found that if you use thick rubber pads under the feet that it helps a lot with the transmission of noise. old shock grommets, body mounts, or even piece of mud flaps. most anything to isolate the steel from the concrete helps a lot.

Steve, you should've seen when I got our compressor it had in it 60 gallons of water so much that it would no longer pump. 60 gallons of water is heavy.

Hi just bought a hitachi compressor, the one that has only one tank, is there any way to deactivate the tank?? The problem I'm having is that the pressure decreases when it comes out from the tank? Any ideas?
@mr233474 жыл бұрын
Probably a bad check valve causing the compressor to dead head. The rubber inside swelled in mine and wouldn't relieve pressure when it would kick off.

Is this a video on an air compressor or a microphone? Really?

Steve, plug the compressor directly into an outlet, not an extension cord.

Do you know how to wire in new capacitors? The old original ones only have 2 prongs for the wires to attach to, but new capacitors have FOUR prongs? how should I hook this up? help please!
@stevewatr7 жыл бұрын
Jennifer Hardy are you sure 2 of the prongs aren't just common to the same point? I've seen start caps that have 2 lugs on each connection.

I'm pretty sure that wire color scheme on that power cord is the European 230VAC colors.

Green-yellow is "protective earth" www.allaboutcircuits.com/textbook/reference/chpt-2/wiring-color-codes/
@TechGorilla19877 жыл бұрын
I was more referring to the brown wire being the 'hot' wire and the blue wire being the 'neutral' wire. I worked on European equipment for several years and all power wiring was brown, blue, green/yellow (230V 50Hz) vs the standard US black, white and green/yellow. (120/240V 60Hz.)

Just came across one of these. Piston was stuck. After freeing it it runs fine but there are two small holes in the bottom center of the upper tank which release air. They are NOT rust holes as they are clean and perfectly round, about 1/16 inch diameter, about 4 inches apart at the same level on the tank. The look intentionally drilled there, though there's no way for that to have been done AFTER product assembly. Could these be safety pressure blow outs that have popped? DO some compressors have such things?
@stevewatr5 жыл бұрын
I've never heard of any such safety feature. Could it have slid up against somthing while in the back of a pickup that punctured it? If viewed under magnification, you might be able to see if they're punctured, or drilled.

@@stevewatr imgur.com/CvXNQPG Pic of holes. Since the outside is clean metal I have to assume that they are rust holes from the inside...meaning tank unusable and unfixable.
@matttanglewood25225 жыл бұрын
@@Bohonk212 My guess would be rust holes. Just checked my compressor and there are no spots. You could clean that area off and weld the holes closed. Might even be able to tap some screws in there to plug the holes..
@Bohonk2125 жыл бұрын
@@matttanglewood2522 I think so also. I stuck a view-tube inside and it looks pretty corroded inside, (compared to the outside which is rust free and clean). I think too risky to repair.
