So, on the one hand, I agree with the idea of just sailing around in Sea of Thieves, minding my own business. That ends when you engage in content that others want to claim. FotD? You're not here for the sailing, you're here for the gold. You WILL get raided, you will have to defend yourself. Being left alone minding your own business and being left alone while you do Forts or Skelly-Fleets or is two very different things.

most of the time Sea of Thieves is very contentless. Theres hardly anyone around. Every youtuber who does content has a discord of people who are willing to server hop in the game until they find something potentially content worthy, they report it to people like Hitbo, Hitbo joins them and they give the boat to them and disconnect to do it again. Rinse and Repeat.

You can't trust a pirate. Best bit of advice you can give any player. My buddies and I were on a reaper brig and I had died. While on the ferry a kid on a gally asked if I was part of the reaper crew. Naturally, I told him i was a solo slooper and asked if he and his crew wanted to alliance. He said yes and told me they were finishing up a sea port and to come join. He was quite salty when we rolled up and sank them. He said some gamer words to me but i only replied with "NEVER TRUST A PIRATE! ARRRRGGGHHHH!!!"

I reported a player for spamming the n word and 2 days later I got a mail saying action had been taken against the player and he was permanently banned. So they do take racism and most likely other things such as death threats etc seriously. Just insults probably a little bit less

They should let you be able to raise your ladders on the ship , have a ladder ball cursed ball etc. Would encourage more naval and make boarding more challenging in that you would need to drop their ladder first or deck shot on. When all sails are furled ladders would auto deploy.

Literally any decent crew with a brain can keep a ship up in purely naval combat unless they get curse ball spammed. This would be an extremely stale change to the game. It would end up being a war of “who has more supplies.”

@@GhostManCutlery I agree, because constant chasers will get resources every time they sink but the person getting chased will have their supplies dwindle over time, boarding can prove a tactic which can win a fight even when you have no supplies. It's an essential to pvp as much as naval is.

I love this game but I'm having trouble finding a decent crew to roll with. My first game after a few months we started stacking on forts and then a reaper brig attacked. Needless to say, the crew I was rolling with weren't up to the task and started asking for mercy when I clearly wanted to fight Then one of my teammates started spamming the N word which caused me to leave. The other crew had really good coordination despite there being only one guy with a mic. I said gg and was a good sport about it but I was thoroughly embarrassed by my teammates behavior.

Pay attention to the names of his enemies this guy and so many other sot streams script their streams Ruby Splashtail just recently was his teammate in the 35k tournament. Aleesa in Disguise is another name that often pops up in some of his older videos giving proof that this guy is not organic as a lot of people think his encounters are. Do you streamers ever think about what it's like to be on the receiving end of the trolling. Its incredibly infuriating to play this game when there are people actively behaving in a toxic manner, like sneaking on the fotd or kegging others ships while they are working. People who get entertainment from other's misery is just sick. So don't be surprised when players don't appreciate your "playfulness" when it ruins their day. We all understand it's just a game, but it's a game some people take very seriously and use to chill out and have fun with. Kinda hard to have fun when you have sweat lord streamers kegging your boat and stealing your chest of legends.
