It happened a few years ago, he was in jail for three months. The whole experience apparently inspired a lot of his better work. It's kind of a cool story, I suggest looking it up! I vote he hitch hikes through North Korea. I would be infinitely impressed.

The documentary about him (directed by Harry Kim by the way :P) is a nice look in to his life from 2000 till 2009 (I think).
