We went to Mauritania to hitchhike the world's deadliest (and longest) train.
Travel with unmatched conditions in Mauritania, in the first video of the Quantfury Expeditions series. www.quantfury.com
Mauritania is a mind-blowing country. We came for the iron ore train, but ended up being amazed by the surprising beauty of the rest of the country. From landing in Nouakchott, to traveling through the Sahara desert on 4x4s, eating camel stew and watching endless stars on top of the world's most dangerous passenger train - Mauritania is a country I'll never forget.

I love the soft neutral colour of the desert . It is so interesting how the wind sculpts the landscape in such soft artistic and natural shapes Wonderful adventure ! Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦🍷

Amazing video! Thanks for showing us more than just the iron ore journey what countless other people do. Other KZbinrs might've done this but everyone's experience is different. Looking forward to more videos!

Brutal! Les recomiendo Nicaragua en Centro América para otro vídeo. Podría colaborar según las fechas, dispongo de familia por allí y tienen mucho territorio desconocido y natural que mostrar en una aventura.

Anyone thinking is an adventure, I highly recommend watching Raskalov/On the Roof's version of this journey. Much more of the train and the desert.

No doubt a . ..gritty trip and you got to experience what many folks spend their entire lives having to exist under. Funny thing is that, in French, one says that one rides IN the train instead of 'on' it. However, I think you would qualify telling French-speaking folks that you rode ON that iron ore train! BTW, you were recently with Chris and Carol[ina] from Jumping Places in Lebanon (as per their most recent video) so if you have any footage of your Lebanon trip, that would be great for us to see!

Good footage, but man...if traveling in a cargo train makes you feel your having a risky trip...sounds like you haven't been out much... You're in the desert with huge temperatures and most of the time you're not even sweating, well combed... This video's are for sure addressed to people that has been living a very pleasant life. Good luck on that project

I can understand the adventure of this trip. I just can't understand why you would promote it as a tourist adventure. To so many in the world hitching on such a dangerous journey is the only means of getting somewhere, not a thrill ride to enjoy. Privilege has its privileges, I guess.

That was evident where people started cheering as the train departed. Just white peoplethings I guess to what is everyday for Mauritanians.

Unless youre Jeff Bazos there is always someone above you with more access and reasources. Those same "tourists" that ride the train also hire guides, shop at the local market and stay in the hotels. There is a net gain to the locals for aure. Okus, if a person goes there to meet people and get to know the country and the culture thats enough to offset any "privilage" in my book.
