I can see Zipp being the pony to comfort Hitch the most after something tragic happens that would affect him a lot. That could make for an interesting art peice.

I absolutely LOVED your drawing when I saw it; the scenario of someone fretting over their injured loved one fits so seemlessly for Hitch and Zipp. Hearing your reasoning for the scenario makes it even better. You really put why I love the ship into words 😁💕 What's funny is that I could see the scenario working backwards, too? With Hitch injuring himself--in his case, by trying to protect someone--and Zipp serving as the voice of reason, as she normally is, while also showcasing how much she cares about him as she looses her cool over him. And Hitch stands up for himself, either because of ego, because he doesn't like that she's seemingly underestimating him, and/or because he values the safety of others over his own. Zipp and Hitch seem like that kinda couple where they worry over the other's well-being more than their own. On the subject of scenarios: I can imagine them, in one night, Hitch telling Zipp to go to bed because it's late while she obsesses over her latest investigation. Then the next night Zipp is the one telling Hitch to head to bed, because he's a work-a-holic, and he similarly obsesses over his job.

just to get this straight I'm not a shipper whatsoever but the dynamic with hitch and zipp while it's not enough to get a full grasp on there relationship has room to grow in the series. As for Hitch and Sunny it's more of a brother and sister relationship sorta deal.

It's always good to meet another HitchxZipp fan! In my case, The first time I saw the movie I didn't really ship anyone, but after reading some opinions from other fans who noticed that despite their little interaction in the movie there was some "spark" in them, and seeing some fanarts, I started to get curious about them and realized that their dynamic had a lot of potential, and I think it happened to a lot of people the same way, Since after the episode "Foal Me Once" (From Tell Your Tale) which portrays part of their dynamic, many people who maybe initially were unsure whether or not to support them became convinced to do so, and progressively their fanbase grew, and just with that episode alone, Then Make Your Mark got a lot more people interested in the ship, and that's something quite nice. I started to be a fan of the ship when it wasn't so popular, and it fills me with joy to see how progressively people share the same affection for the ship. The crew of the series really have something with a lot of potential on their hands, let's hope the writers know how to handle it.

The body language of that one clip you were showing, where Zip jumps down from the top of the cabinet and interacts with Hitch makes me think of a Cat and a Dog. Not necessarily antagonistic but still interesting to watch.

It's the internet, if they didn't ship these two I would have found it strange 😅 I mean, it's common to see a little random ships, but when two characters have a lot of interactions and even chemistry that's when it become something you can take seriously.

Hitch and Zipps chemistry are the best thing in the series so far. I love to see more scenarios like this or the other away around. But I would really like for there relationship to build in the series and the whole detective, sheriff dynamic as well. I want to see higher stakes and more drama. Romance I love to see between them, who knows maybe Zipp may have a crush on him since she’s more comfortable around him and likes to be near him.

For a straight ship, they are Def my fav. In terms on g5 2x2x2 shipping (meaning all are paired with someone else) my fave are sunny x izzy, hitch x zipp, and pipp x misty (yes it's obvious she will join the mane cast. And the reason is bc pipp is the most confident extrovert while misty will likely be the first introvert! Her helping misty be more confident would be adorable)

Honestly I can see Hitch and Zipp becoming a couple. They get along really well and they care about each other. I wouldn’t be surprised if the series ended with Hitch & Zipp and Sunny & Izzy getting married off screen like Fluttershy & Discord and Applejack & Rainbow Dash did in the series finale of My little pony friendship is magic. We need this to happen. And I think it will because the MLP staff is letting us decide on the shipping. Hitch x Zipp: Zitch and Sunny x Izzy: Sunzy forever.

I honestly think these two would make an interesting and pretty good couple. This is a beautiful picture and I just love how you do commentaries with your speed draws because usually other artists play music and I'd love to hear them talk more about what inspired the piece they're showing at the time. Anyways, keep up the great work! 💕

So far my favourite G5 pairing, and not even necessarily in a romantic way (Even though I wouldn't mind that either ;)) . But I would love to see these 2 as friendly rivals even though every now and then it can get a little personal, kinda like we saw with Rainbow Dash and Applejack in G4.. But I would love to see these 2 kinda trying to one up each other throughout the show.. Either way Love the piece.. But yeah Hitch and Zipp pairing is my favourite thing about G5 so far and I hope it continues. :)

You're missing a lot of important context from the 2d shorts, especially for Zipp and Haven's relationship. For example, in a recent episode, there's actually a scene where Izzy builds a glider that nearly crashes, and Zipp scolds Izzy for it. I honestly think they're G5's secret weapon: they give the generation some downtime while allowing for character moments that couldn't fill 22 minutes. At the start of the movie, Hitch is in control, and has a partner that doesn't really challenge him. He's firmly in his comfort zone, so his personal development has plateaued. After magic returns, he's out of his comfort zone and no longer in control, and this is reflected in how he's characterized.

I relate HARD on how you feel about the 2d shorts. Although I forced myself to watch 2 episodes to TRY to give the shorts a chance but I should have listened to past me. I put myself through borderline torture for nothing🤢 Anyways, I love this illustration your art is lovely. Zipp is my favorite character💜💕 I may not be a fan of their 'ship' but I do enjoy the brief interactions we've gotten between them and Im excited to see more of them and for the series to come out(and that special!) tho I agree the animation is.....not great but it beats the 2d shorts💀

9:34 Maybe a sister moment or maybe Hitch and Izzy? I don't know, I just like to see opposing characters once in a while, see the two sisters doing something together even if it's something weird or different because it's the only way they can spend time doing something they both enjoy, or having a cheerful and spontaneous character like Izzy with something more shy and down to earth like Hitch also brings a good balance after the two reach consensus.

Hola y felicidades! This drawing's fantastic, and hearing your commentary on both Zipp and Hitch was captivating. I liked hearing about how an emotional confrontation was what fueled your inspiration for the piece. New sides to both characters - the reserved Hitch now scolding a friend for endangering themselves and a reasonable Zipp trying to defend their daring actions in retort. How they settle things is left exciting, for we trust in their friendship to help them grow from the experience. Beautiful focus on the two as we have not seen. I am a fairly new fan to the pony universe, so it's a delight to find fan interpretations which explore the cast further. Love your traditional art - it's a mesmerizing delight seeing your bright colors and patterns, very liberating with imagination. I remind myself of such art as alebrijes. Woah... Seriously... Ok, I'll comment in Spanish cuz I feel ill mess it up in English: Maravilloso, he seguido tu arte desde la pareja "SpiTterfly", pero nunca imaginé oír tu voz en Español e Inglés. Ahora, sobre el dibujo, me encanta. Tu estilo en los Ponies siempre me ha encantado. Pero por sobre todo esta, no sé mucho sobre esta Gen, pero la forma en que les describes me ayuda mucho, por el contexto, de cómo pasó y qué justifica que un personaje que, por un lado es tímido y reservado, se arme de "coraje/frustración" y regañe a alguien que siempre ha sido de Fortaleza y Autoestima elevado. Esto no es un cliché, eso sería que ambos estén sonrojados en ese momento, pero tu logras plasmar la verdadera emoción, la preocupación desbordada y la reacción al nerviosismo a través de una discusión pues ambos están en una situación "incómoda", algo nuevo y no saben como demostrarlo o "bajar los humos". Ojalá poder ver más de tu trabajo como este y poder oírte comentar de ello. 😁

It's too late to give my opinion but I wanted to give it xd. I accept the ship, their chemistry is very good and their moments together seem flirtatious, they have a very good relationship and the situation of the drawing is very cute, but I don't see a development between them, they have a comic together, but all that, I don't see what lead him to something more than a friendship, although I know that it is too early to determine who will be canon, and it may be that as the episodes go by they develop their relationship, but with what they have given us I do not see a development between them.

if i'm being honest i ship pip x hitch and sunny x Izzy. i just can't see zip x hitch working out due to the story so far in the 3d side of it. and i feel it would ruin their friendship and what their work is since they work out of the same building and their work is too connected to each other for a relationship to work. they're too into their work. i could explain my view on my preferred ones but then this comment would be a mile long.^^ maybe pip x izzy and hitch x sunny might work but there is issues with that as well. i won't get into it because this is already too long and my view is video worthy.
