@@douglasskaalrud6865 in the ww2 era US bomber planes, there was a ball turret at the belly under the plane. Looks strangely modern in contrast but this isn't about that. During a bomb run, a plane took so much damage that the ball turret opening hatch, emergency cranks, and any other method of getting the probably 21 year old gunner out were useless. And the damage was so bad that the landing wheels could not come down. So belly landing. With the ball turret and a man inside on that belly. They could still talk to each other during this and had (think about how long flights are) hours with him in there knowing that the crews only chance was to land with him down there. That's a unique human experience I couldn't even fathom. Ww2... Is full of those experiences.

The biggest problem with KZbin is it has no direct competition. If it did, it would stop this BS. Commercials use to be 5 seconds at the beginning, that became 10, then 15. Then they started adding them in the middle and end. Then peppered throughout. And now, 2 simultaneous commercials at a time peppered throughout.

I did not fact check it, but recall hearing in another doc that reportedly the US government briefly considered the surveillance or internment of German immigrants in the U.S. at the start of WW2, as with the Japanese-Americans. Just because Britain fell wouldn't mean the fall of the Empire- earlier in WW2 the Royal Family was going to evaluate to Canada. Most likely if it got to the fall of Britain, the other colonies not attached to Europe would go on. The Germans would have to invade North America- which they tried and failed at in current history- and Australia which would seem more in Japans area.
