I respect Hitmaka but I thought he was at least a small part of the creation process musically in his credits. I do think it is a skill to just put it all together and quarterback a song but I always thought he was making beats/instrumentals. Sound engineers are the unsung heroes in music!!!

But his network allows him to put people like Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, JayZ, Drake etc on his albums filled eith beats made by Mike Will, Metro, Mustard etc. If he wasnt good at networking he'd still he trying to sell mixtapes out of his trunk. In music its 90% who you know and 10% talent.

Yes, that's right. He may not program drums on an MPC directly like a Dr. Dre or DJ Quik, but he can help direct a 16-piece orchestra to build a song bed for a 17 minute music video about a college kids date turned Zombie Horror film, and create multiple sonic moments over the course of the song's story. Because of Quincy's genius, the entire planet knows Billie Jean just by the opening drums intro before you even get to the bassline. Even children beatbox it! 😆😆
