I went guns blazing in this mission lol. I actually enjoyed it, this is the only mission where it feels like it's more fitting to go on a rampage than being stealthy.

I just put the bomb where the guidence system was in his little museum and i just activated the alarm. Hayamoto just rushes to get it, i blow up the bomb, use the hidden passage at the start to get to the front gat where the mission started. Silent assassin.

Before check out this video, I was able to do eveything silently until 5:37, but after killing the target I didnt know I could actually escape through the window, those ninjas jump down and it burst into a major sword fight lol!!!! It reminds me the Hitman movie's train station scene. ^^

I could never tell if it was a bug or a feature (probably a bug) but the suspicion meter doesn't work the same way with the ninja AI. For all intents and purposes they have no suspicion, instead the ones with the SMGs are scripted to check your ID seemingly at random. This means that in many cases the simplest option is to just run past them as quickly as possible to avoid getting ID checked, since running (usually) won't alert them. TL;DR: The ninja AI is badly designed and/or broken.

I guess not the AI.. The guards in hayomoto place are not very suspicious as it is impossible for them to understand that Someone can enter the castle after such strong security. Outside like snipers and all..

Perfect - i used the .22 krugermaier to headshot the target and jumped off using the same route to escape - silent assassin easy done! thx also i have to point out: each gun i picked up once ended in my gardener shack! Nice for the final mission :)

It's a hard mission, but it is hard in a "fair" way and hence a lot of fun to play and a great feeling of accomplishment when you do it "SA". There is also a way without even sedating a single guard. Instead, you could sneak to a laundry room and get a free disguise there.

First Name Last Name not so much a laundry room. It’s a break room with a staticky tv. You have to go all the way around the corridors to get to it. Go though the tower first floor, down the stairs (walk on the beams, not the squeaky floorboards), through the hidden passage to the Shinto shrine room, down the hall past the patrolling guard and ninja on the beam, down the other hall and past another guard and ninja on beam, it’s the corner room at the end of that hall. Ironically it’s near an outside door but you would have to cross the courtyard to get to it and the ninjas would kill you if they saw you out of a disguise.

With the benefit of hindsight - and three incredible current generation Hitman games - the AI in Silent Assassin was so broken. I don't think I have said "What did I do!?" more. That said, I loved every minute of it, and still like revisiting it on occasion.

My brother likes to sneak from the wings to the first floor, from the first floor to the shrine room where he steals the keycard, then he goes to one of the courtyard rooms via the hallway and steals a ninja outfit, then he walks back to the tower, goes down to the museum and takes the guidance system along with the silenced .22 pistol. From there he goes to the Fourth Floor and talks to Mei/Lei Ling and gets the special keycard. From there he sneaks up to the Sixth Floor, strangles Hayamoto, steals his sword, escapes out the window, climbs into the Fourth Floor window, and escorts Mei/Lei Ling to the helicopter.
