I did 14 months at a youth camp, a private one. I went in at 14 and your release date was completely based off your behavior and your “relationship with god” like they’re capable of judging that. I wasn’t doing good, I was one of the youngest there, but not the smallest….. the lil clicks that hung together would pressure their younger hang arounds to come test me and it didn’t go well for em. Which made enemies with the rest of their click. Punishment for fighting was “rock pile” you’d more one pile of rocks (like a few hundred 20-40lb rocks. To another pile and back again. And again and again. I assumed I’d be there until I was 18. By the grace of god that place was forcibly shut down by the state. for staff on juvenile assaults, using us to get paid for our manual labor moving industrial agricultural sprinkler lines (3”wide several hundred feet long, bucking hay clearing private forests of fallen limbs logs ect for forest firePrevention and different illegal activities when I was 16. When I got out people in my extended family would ask why I didn’t write them back. I had never received a letter in there. They were intercepted. Which is totally illegal. When I went back yo school nobody even recognized me. I had grew 5” to 6’1” and weighed 190lbs. But the hardest part of being there was feeling like everyone had forgotten about me. And they just assumed I didn’t wanna correspond with them. But I had no idea anyone was trying.

I hope you get clean sooner rather than later. Im 26 been doing this for 10 years. At 16 it started with pills the doctor prescribed me for pain. If not already, try to get into a methadone or suboxene clinic. It doesn't work for everyone, but if you use it the right way and so the program it can be so successfully and you wont have to go through the awful withdrawal symptoms. Anyways please get help now because it only gets worse. Good luck.

Grandma’s are worth their weight in gold. My sister is my sons ‘nan’. She is awesome and it is a sign of respect in my eyes. She is only 6 years older than me but she treats him like a grandson.
