I just attempted this. You can trigger the alarms and the lasers won't come back. The shotgun still appears after you collect the gold bars. Gotta be wearing the bunny suit tho.

FYI When you enter the IT techs room downstairs their is a Janitors Key on the table inside. That is the key that opens the doors around the bank you were wondering about.

Nice. If you can find rat poison on the map, you can get the guards to clear out of the room without any KOs, while keeping the chloroform flask if you need it down the road for a sedative poison objective.

Great point! The rat poison is a good option (One can be found in the room directly across the IT room where you stash the bank robber outfit in this video). You can still find an extra bottle of chloroform in the safety deposit boxes even if you do use the one in the vault (10:26)

Guard collaterals don't cost merces, though, so you can even use lethal poison if you want to. I usually go for arms trafficking, so Assassin's Covert Pistol go pew pew most of the time.

As an aside, I like NY as a showdown map; if you're patient and methodical you can clear out that basement guard room without poisoning the vent (since you can only do so once), then set a meeting in the room and either KO suspects/target with chloroform or just kill them outright with the lethal poison.

@@pineapplebaron2308 You could just take out the guys in the parking garage, poison the vent, turn on the AC to take out all the guards, drag their bodies into the garage, THEN set up the meeting and gas everybody. You can just turn the AC off and back on again to make sure everybody gets inside.

Indeed they have my friend. Sneaking is not necessary if you just trigger it with another disguise and come back as a robber. I basically wrote a whole book here but that's the TLDR of it :D

Sadly a lot of this was replaced, the pedestal where you can get 3000 Mercers was replaced with coins and the burial dagger and legendary knife replaced with mercers

You're a legend and this vid is still pretty good overall but some aspects of it are outdated, the vault's disable lasers-button being one of them. Dunno if people still play the game but I do have a suggestion for any current players looking for answers. I'm just about to hit lvl 100 in Freelancer, so all of this is tried and tested. IRL money already has me jumping through all kinds of hoops and bending over backwards just to get it, so I never go through all that laser-dodging when I roleplay as a sharp-dressed bald gentleman. The foundation for each robbery is laid by first taking the time to roleplay while roleplaying, allowing 47 to step in the shoes of the common working man. Starting off I'll traipse towards the IT room to disable the vault security, and during this trip I'll steal the clothes from either the normal security or their decadent and tomato-eyed cousins', who try their best to hide their weed-smoking habit behind black sunglasses (”High security they call them”) The disguise is not mandatory but it'll allow us to do the Inception of roleplaying. So now 47 is playing a guard who - in 47's head canon, probably idk - is a bit of a prankster and decides to don the cape of The Sandman. We head to the security room, get the nap gas bottle from the medical cabinet and gift the overworked security room colleagues with a surprise naptime. Then we turn off the nap gas and hop right in to at least get the vault keycard and the master key for the deposit boxes (one of them also has Man-coin inside!!) + take any guns if needed. Then in keeping up with the theme of the room we gently put the cameras to sleep. Step outside and turn the AC back on, for it'll take some of that workload off of us if we let it. Ending this phase I'll put a cap in the asses of two guards ”guarding” the parking lot. Finally comes the point of writing this damn book. So these days you can't disable the lasers, and couple times they've fucked with my artful approach by pounding the alarm without touching, so this is what I always to do make it easier and safer. Wearing anything other than the robber outfit I simply willfully trigger the alarm by running in just to run back out. I like to head to the parking lot to let the situation simmer a little bit and to not lose SA. What happens now is all the guards on the ground floor hear the alarm and lazily make their way to check it. Depending on how you dealt with the guys on the sec room these dudes either return to their post or see their higher paygrade colleagues sleeping on the job and immediately head in to wake them up and bully them on their work ethic. This is where you'll reap the rewards of turning the AC back on, because those fellas and any others following them have a surprise nap break waiting for them. Btw this is where I'll rob the deposit boxes and the money van key if I hadn't already. I'll be the first to admit this has gone on for way too long, so to end this bullshit I'll just head to the robber outfit and finally enter the vault properly. The alarm I triggered earlier has stopped and the lasers won't come back, and the only thing left is to grab the goldbars and the money, then the shotgun and take the money van back home. One last piece of advice straight from the heart. Yesterday I pressed the two laptops in the safehouse one after the other, so I started my 4th and probably last prestige and decided to go Hardcore just to top it off with a challenge. One of the first missions was in NY and having robbed the vault and getting a perfect run on all the objectives I was at the van, ready to laugh my way back home. Then I remembered there's a Tanto in the boss bitch's room and started thinking. What if the next mission has a katana kill as a prestige objective? In hardcore the prestige objective is mandatory and a quick trip to the Ivory tower could make for an easy pick when the objective shows up. Long story short I pushed my luck and got got in the corridor leading up to the old hag's capitalist goon cave. So my final advice is to quit while you're ahead!!!

They moved it into the room with only guard right next to him on the left so unless you have a lock pick or you know how to knock out the guards quick I wouldn’t go for it

I lost a run to this (I'm pretty new to hitman). My target was one of the guards in the security room and I used emetic poison on the ventilation system. For some reason my target just stood still, looking sick, in the security room for at least 30 seconds. I foolishly assumed that agent 47 would be fine if my target had been standing in the fumes for 30s already, so I ran in there and learned the hard way that agent 47's biggest weakness is an upset stomach.

@@eabjab5158 Sorry that happened to you. There are lots of problems with the Hitman games such as being spotted, sometimes, through walls. Also a target going into a toilet where there is already a NPC and so ruining silent assassin if you must not have bodies found. Other times an NPC non-target will come into toilet when you are in the middle killing a target and again you've lost silent assassin being spotted ding an illegal act is another thing that gets spoiled. The game seems to be deliberately designed to screw us over in so many ways.

Hey Ranger, I played Freelancer New York a few days ago and the lockbox with chloroform was not there. Also, the switch to turn off the security system in the vault was missing. I was able to get the chloroform from the closet next to the IT room. I was also able to get into the vault without tripping the alarm but when I exited I rushed a bit a set off the alarm. I already had Armored truck key and escaped relatively easy. Tip: save the vault robbery for last in case the alarm trips. Devs must have removed these items in last patch or was a glitch?

The lockbox with chloroform is in a different lockbox in the room with all the guards on the right. The alarm system nobody rly cared about it when I triggered it Edit: NEVERMIND. I commented this right after I went through the lazers. Then guards came. I paused my game to comment this, I'll edit again if I die. Edit: Ok I killed the guards, it was just 3 so u guys should be good.

Same here. I guess they moved it a little to make it not super easy to knock out all of the guards. But, for me there was no way to dissable the security system. Maybe I missed it, but I turned off the power but it was still on.

The medicine cabinet is now inside the back half of the security guard room, with the lone guard. So what you need to do is first make sure the door to the garage is closed so the two guards in there don't come running when they hear trouble. Enable the air conditioning to get that first guard in the back room distracted. Once he is, turn it off again, then hide against the left side of the doors. When he comes out, knock him out and store him in the laundry container. Take his disguise. Then go into that first room, break open the medicine cabinet, and take the chloroform. Go back into the garage, use the chloroform on the vents, turn on the AC again, and you're golden. As far as the vault security system goes, you just have to sneak through the lasers to the mainframe. Once you've pulled the server rack and thus stolen the money, the security system will then disable.

Hi Philip, the two keys you get in this run are the janitor key from the security officer in the bathroom (who you subdue), and the locker key from the elite bodyguard by the surveillance device (who you knock out with gas).

I had 11,000 Merces before I started in New York. During the game I lost 6000. Not a good exchange in the game! It’s every time too! What? You only get a total of 11,000 merces after it’s all done? Naw; instead of making the freelance game, they should have refurbished the very first three games, or all the hitman games up to Bloodmoney. This crap goes nothing like what you and Mr, Freeze gets as far as rewards. Most of us are getting through the game on neck snaps and melee attacks because we can’t even afford a garrot or a silencer. It’s almost more annoying than fun to play. Thanks anyway for your post of your video. It did help me get through this area. I was expecting to pick up lots of merces and it turns out to be a flop.

Hi there yeah it requires some good bit of stealth running. My tactic is, try practicing it on the easiest difficulty in the main game. Save at different points. Then up the difficulty. Once you get the routine down, you are set, and it is usually only hard until you get the elite security outfit. I had a tough time too but this technique of practicing helped me, and really pays off in freelancer from the value you get. The whole process takes only a few minutes because once you get the elite disguise you are home free. Much appreciation to you!

Hi LoneWolf I'm sorry to hear this. The only time it didn't happen for me is when I forgot to wear the suit. I would try again, this time wear the suit from the time you hit the button outside the vault to the time you take all seven bars. It may just have been a bug. Try doing this in the base game before freelancer, so you can test it out thoroughtly. Hope this works

You have to dodge the lasers. The first set of lasers are the hard one. I took the left side near the violin. After you collect the gold the lasers stop

Thank you for the tutorial video, and like MrFreeze2244, I love the way you're still using old osts which are the best, since the reboot in 2016, the improved the game and dropped the soundtracks, hopefully we fought to keep David Bateson's voice.

They patched it and you can't disable lasers anymore, however you can still do this and if you fail and trip the alarm you can quickly extract the cash from the safe and escape with money van. You'll need to shoot 2 guards but after that you can easily escape.

Hey, I really love your videos and there's a lot I can learn from you to finally become a better Hitman. But there's one little thing annoying me. I would really love if you would activate the Mission Timer. This way I can tell if I'm being too slow or just to know at what time stamp certain things happen. In fact, I'm amazed you're playing without it Uuuh.... I think they patched this. The closet with the chloroform bottle doesn't exist. Not that I wouldn't get rid of them otherwise, just saying 😈 Edit: Weird, it's now behind the first door of the security room Lmao instead I don't have a card reader to turn off the laser beams

Thats not all they also removed 2 of the merca coins in the vault halved the amount you get from the server and removed both the epic dagger and the legendary one and replaced them with some merca.

Or does that mean umintalliing the game.. it's getting to that point where I am not going to let him play it anymore. Until he is older or not at all. It way too hard. Yes, to start freelancer again, I believe you have to (please correct me if I am wrong chat) unlink and link a new account email on IO interactive website (this is an old video but goes over it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jIayf4t5n7VlbtE). My recommendation is instead of freelancer, try playing the base game on Casual difficulty first. If he learns the map layouts, where enemies are, where NPCs move, etc. it will make freelancer a lot easier. Freelancer is by far the hardest mode in Hitman. I strongly rec playing the main game at lower difficulty first then slowly raising that. However, mental health is very important and if you feel he is being affected by the game negatively then it is probably best to not play it at this time.

@Crimson Games I have been locked out 12 hours so far. It won't let you Play Apparently, if you close the games to many times it locks you out.. IO interactive has terrible customer support. I ha e raised this issue and it's gone ignored.
