Still one of his best sketches I think. A fantastic mix of genuine emotional pathos with incredibly simple observational comedy that you might find on any beginning comic's first set.

Love your Pathologic content, didn't know you were also a Limmy analyst, but it makes perfect sense.
@HorrorGameAnalysis Жыл бұрын
@@WendingWind Funny seeing you here! The internet is a remarkably small place sometimes. Thanks for saying hi, hope you're well!
@WendingWind Жыл бұрын
@@HorrorGameAnalysis Yeah, small world indeed. Your video essays are actually my favourites on youtube, as a matter of fact. I find the standard youtube game video essay formats a bit over the top, impersonal and television-like for me personally. Yours are more like link surfing on wikipedia with a cup of tea and forgetting periodically where you started out, which was talking about a couch in Pathologic or something. Pretty philosophical as well, it must be said. Especially love the way your channel is set up though, just an Aladdins cave of horror game content, like you've got video essays, archives of soundtracks and other misc content, memes, let's plays, ambience videos etc. It's probably not doing you any favours with the algorithm, but I wouldn't have it any other way, I'm here for the lot of it. It gets me sort of nostalgic for the way KZbin used to be, back in the days when it really was a small world. A first playthrough, so to speak.
@HorrorGameAnalysis Жыл бұрын
@@WendingWind Thanks for that. I really appreciate hearing that kind of lovely, positive feedback, and that even the structure of my channel is working for you. That's definitely something I'm aware of - it's not doing me any favours with the algorithm or with the ability to earn any revenue for all the work I put into it (and thus allow me to put that money back into making even better stuff), but in the end, that doesn't really matter. What matters is that people are enjoying it and are engaging with it in the way that you are doing. The "Aladdin's cave of horror game content" - that's a wonderful turn of phrase I think I will quietly adopt in my mind :) My videos are indeed intended to be exploratory experiences. Many video essays try to act as the definitive be-all and end-all on a subject. I want to be a starting point for the viewer, as no matter how weirdly niche or deep I go, there is always more to be said and interpreted, and I hope that's how they function. Stay safe!

Limmy. You're a phenomenal actor, no shade. I like to think I'm a decent judge, watch all types of film from all eras. I get your past issues, totally respect your decisions, not trying to pursuade you AT ALL. But seriously, I do wish I could live in an alternate Universe where you'd 'made it big' in film...but not at the cost of your happiness... (So many examples, Robin Williams comes to mind). But you seem to have grounded yourself with your relationship with your son (protect that at all costs mate) so maybe it's for the best that we're only ever going to get to see your (ridiculously) great acting here, with you also having a happy ending. Just to say, I feel confident that 50%+ of A List actors would give anything to be as emotive as you. You just have it naturally (much like Robin). Regards, and with deep fondness from an 'English Scumbag' who would choose you as his hit-man if at all possible! (especially with that apparently non existent gun) 🤣.
