Brandon Lee reminds so much of Johnny Depp.....The Crow what a ground breaking film....Ledger obviously took a lot of inspiration for his Joker Character and even this scene in itself is similar to the Joker when he walks in on the villains....touches of The Matrix too with the long black leather trench coats and the slow mo shots !! What a loss both Lee and Ledger were !!

partly, though i would argue they were inspired more by John Woo's films, they had waayyyyy more Dual-Wielding gunfights , wayy cooler Slow-motion destruction, long-takes(that hospital scene in Hard Boiled) and more bullet-dodging/diving. Basically what Hong Kong action cinema is, but the atmosphere and the outlook of The Matrix is very much like The Crow's.

Fun fact: A year after this movie was released (1995), coincidentally Devil's night mayhem and arsons in Detroit died down because the city no longer tolerated the crime spree. The police and residents organized "Angels night" and arrested or killed many of the instigators. Perhaps there is some retribution by a higher power.

Having just watched The Crow on Blu-Ray recently, I beg to differ, it has not lost it's touch. Its a very grim, gritty and violent tale and it does have more emotion than the Dark Knight (which I also enjoy). Flavour of the month, I love the way you come up with these quotes lol.
