Kim, making these becomes a little addictive when you begin to mix colors or adding texture within it, etc. I really enjoying making them to have on hand to embellish color in the design. Xxx💚

Hi Hitomi, can i use SINGLE midollino stick with aluminum wire to be wrapped or it must be a bundle of midollinos? I tried to use a single stick and it is broken easily when being bent. I love your tips and tricks and watch your video clips with great interest. Your style is unique and so elegant. Thanks a lot for sharing your tips!
@HitomiGilliam4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching!! You should use minimum of 2or3 Midollino with aluminum wire - it takes several Midollino to make the extenders longer. Xxx

Hitomi Gilliam : wow! I am impressed by how fast you gets back with your reply, given the fact that you are busy and have many inquiries and questions to answer. I will try making midollino extenders again using your advice above. Thank you very much!

Do you know where I can purchase midolino? Looking everywhere and can’t find it
@HitomiGilliam2 жыл бұрын
It is now in very short supply. I heard that Smithers-Oasis might be discontinuing them, which would be very sad. I substitute them with cane, which is available online. Xxx💚

What benift does the medelino give if you're going to cover in wool? Would you get the same effect just using a couple of strands of aluminium wire...not so expensive either!
@HitomiGilliam5 жыл бұрын
Hi @Carys Harrison, I use the wool to dress them up with different colours and texture, the wool texture itself also creates a great gluing surface if you need it. If you want to just create a base structure and leave it unfinished, you can definitely do that as well! Beyond the base structure, it's totally up to you however you'd like to finish it.

@HitomiGilliam8 ай бұрын
It is called Midollino, but it is no longer available… so now look for rattan or round reed from basket weaving store. Use #3 or 4 grade. Xxx💚

Please help me about buying Medallion!!! Where can I buy it as a wholesale??? Thanks
@HitomiGilliam2 жыл бұрын
There’s a real shortage since Smithers decided to take it out of their line. Accent Decor still stock leftovers… silver only. The last I heard online sales through Joann’s and/or buy them in rolls as Reed rattan through basket weaving and rattan craft suppliers. Xxx💚

It’s MIDOLLINO. FYI so you can do the online sesrch.
