you can tell how much pain it brings them to perform their dead bandmate's most known song, without him being there. you can feel how close the guitarist is to breaking into tears. i hope they're doing well and coping okay with such a heavy loss.

the crowd singing together "the overlapping voices blend together, they blend together". concerts always make me cry but this is on another level
The way you can feel the pain in every sound their instruments make, the grief in their voices. Wowaka, wherever you are, we miss you.

They played Rolling Girl as a tribute to him... and even had everyone I the audience sing with them... that's true love for a band member.. you can tell they truly love him, I couldn't help but start crying when he started sniffling. It felt like I was there with them. When I'd found out he died I cried, his songs helped me get through so much. I don't believe in a God, or a heaven. But I do hope their tribute reached him, wherever he is.

God, they look so done. With those looks on their faces, they don't give a care in the world anymore. And the vocalist, it felt like he would bawl out any moment his voice would so easily break. Imagine losing someone so close, whom you've been with for so long throughout hardships and good times, that's unbearable. Get these people each of their own private mansions with a swimming pool to soothe themselves.. I hope they move on and gain strength since they're doing great holding on their own. Wowoka would be proud.. So many people still follow this band. Best of luck from me, for their future. Thank you so much Hitorie

I think one part that really sticks out to me is how, once the song is over, you can see them trying to maintain their composure, and as they walk off the stage, you can see their pace gradually increase, as they were likely burstinog at the seams. This may just be projection on my part, but I don't think anyone would be able to do anything but sob after something like that
@galaxydoesartz23952 жыл бұрын
They're doing better now and I'm so glad they are. They've released about 3 new singles, 2 albums, toured, and have just announced a new album since his passing. They've been through so much, especially since everything wowaka had done has been passed down to the other members to do in his place. You should really give them a listen if you haven't already.

The first Vocaloid song I listened to, performed so beautifully as one hell of a tribute to Wowaka, I love it. We miss you Wowaka-San.

It doesn't matter how long it's been... I will always cry to this. I could remember every detail when we first got the news and watching this live. I burst out sobbing when Shinoda-san said they wouldn't be disbanding. Cried even harder when they started singing Rolling Girl. It was definitely a rough few months, I was crying at random points whenever I would remember him, or even just normally listening to their music. But I can't deny the strength I feel now, carrying the love and honor I've had for Wowaka since the beginning, and to feel that through the rest of Hitorie's music have been a huge blessing. I'm so, so glad I'm a fan of them.

I’m here in this season to watch this video in order to remember Wowaka. I was there, in this live house, at that moment, while holding my broken heart since I had received the horrendous news about his death on 8th April 2019. I definitely won’t forget this live performance, those songs, our emotions toward Wowaka and Hitorie. And I am pleased that I found out that a lot of fans all over the world feel empathy with Wowaka’s songs so deeply in spite of the barriers of language. Yes, his word can reach us, our loneliness, our anger, our sadness, and stay with us. Thank you Hitorie.
I just joined the vocaloid community recently and have been learning about Wowaka and his work. His songs stand out so much and seem so impactful to everyone who have heard them. When I first discovered rolling girl, I felt truly connected to it. I had a really hard time last year and a few months ago. Dealing with loss, a break up, cancer in my family, pressure of work, losing friends, and being isolated during quarantine hurt me so bad. When hearing such emotion in a song, it made me feel almost comforted, like someone reached out to me and showed me that I’m not alone in my pain. And when I found out that wowaka had died, it hurt so much knowing an amazing artist was gone, and when I heard this version of his song, I broke down in tears. I will never experience what long term fans felt during the days after his death, but I know that it must’ve hurt so bad. Thank you Hitorie for honoring an amazing person. May he live on in his music that we all share. Thank you Wowaka

I discovered Wowakas music way back in 2011 with Rolling Girl when I was only 12, as edgy as it sounds I really felt connected to the song too, I had moved schools, was being bullied, and just in an unhealthy household. Wowaka impacted so many lives all over the world, Vocaloid won't be the same without him. Amazing still, just not the same. As with Powapowa and Samfree. May they all rest in peace

@@GweenOfTea Not edgy at all. Lots of us went through similar things, that age is easily when kids can start becoming genuinely cruel. I hope you're doing better now
They’ve grown so much since then. I think wowaka would be proud.

Rolling Girl always made me weep at ages 12/13., at that age, before I’d even looked up an English translation, something about the emotions behind it clicked for me, even more so once I knew the lyrics and realized just how much I related to the words. One song got me through so many times of locking myself in my room and sobbing not knowing why I despised myself so much. Rolling Girl always felt like a hug. A tiny glimmer that others felt that same way, and That there are so many other ‘rolling girls’ out there. I remember feeling so sad when hearing her Passed away. And now at 20, here I am crying over the same song, giving me that same hug, but with a new bittersweet tinge to it. I’m not religious, but, if there’s an afterlife I do hope Wowaka is able to be fulfilled knowing how the songs he wrote touched so many. Thank you Wowaka, may you rest peacefully. And from one Rolling Girl to the next, keep on rolling, you aren’t alone in all this. Keep on breathing.

First Vocaloid song I’ve heard in my life. A bit new to the fandom, but this honestly brought tears to my eyes. Wowaka was such a big part of the Vocaloid fandom, and I loved his work so much. His songs were so great! I honestly wish I had joined this fandom so much earlier, but I’m glad I’m able to learn about it now. Wowaka is not really gone, his legacy and work is still here for us to enjoy and love.

I was too young to discovered him when he was active, maybe to immature when I got into vocaloid, but I realised how impactful his songs were when the news of his death reached me in my part of the world back in 2019. And today, I'm still crying over this rendition of this song because with it means so much more to the person I'm today, and I realise now how much those songs could have (and yet did) help me when I trully needed them. While I regret to never have been able to know and understand his work while he was alive, I'm still glad that his legacy will live on regardthless
