@supitschillbro2 жыл бұрын
@@tedgrowney8981 lol that's like saying "NFL linemen are only in the game because they are strong and fast." Being a physical presence in professional sports is like 85% of the challenge. The average 6'6" NBA player is in the 99.9th percentile for height in America. You're discounting that Shaq's probably the strongest basketball player ever, and that doesn't come without a lot of hard work in the gym. The rule changes in 2004ish that made the NBA less physical meant Shaq's skill set was less valuable. He's probably the epitome of bully ball, which is a perfectly legitimate way to put points on the board.

I remember 2K gave Shaq like 30 something in speed and quickness. Insane, Lakers Shaq was as fast as any forward in the NBA. From what I read, Shaq ran 3/4 of a court in 3.25 seconds as a rookie, which was the same speed as Chris Paul during his rookie season. Therefore, Orlando Shaq should have gotten 83 in speed and Lakers Shaq maybe 81 in speed and quickness. But it is not just Shaq so many freakish big men like Dwight Howard were given only 60 something in speed when Howard ran 3/4 court in 3.14 seconds, which should have given him an 89 speed.

@Joseph-lz5er2 жыл бұрын
@@jaithen29 I edit the rosters based on their actual speed and it really doesn't have any difference in the game because regardless how fast the big men are, guards in the NBA are generally a one level higher in athleticism, except few freaks like Dwight Howard. Plus, it makes the game more realistic because it makes big men explosive similiar to their actual selves in the game.
@KTF02 жыл бұрын
30 something speed should be reserved for guys who you have to wait for to get in a half court offense. That's pretty rare in the NBA tho. I remember Kareem in his last year was like that and the Lakers were okay with that because he could still shoot the sky hook with a high percentage.

I wanted to see all of the stats from every game in this video together, so for anyone else who wants that, here they are: (For an explanation of how I formatted it, see the bottom of this comment if u want to) NBA 2K: 1/11, 9.09%; cumulative 1/11, 9.09% NBA 2K1: 1/4, 25.00%; cumulative 2/15, 13.33% NBA 2K2: 1/38, 2.63%; cumulative 3/53, 5.66% NBA 2K3: 1/23, 4.35%; cumulative 4/76, 5.26% NBA 2K4: 1/5, 20.00%; cumulative 5/81, 6.17% NBA 2K5: 1/35, 2.86%; cumulative 6/116, 5.17% NBA 2K6: 1/7, 14.29%; cumulative 7/123, 5.69% NBA 2K7: 1/9, 11.11%; cumulative 8/132, 6.06% NBA 2K8: 1/5, 20.00%; cumulative 9/137, 6.57% NBA 2K9: * 1/3, 33.33%; cumulative 10/140, 7.14% NBA 2K10: 1/26, 3.85%; cumulative 11/166, 6.63% NBA 2K11: 1/8, 12.50%; cumulative 12/174, 6.90% NBA 2K22: 1/36, 2.78%; cumulative 13/210, 6.19% * The stats on screen for 2K9 (at 8:31) say 1 for 4, but Smequle explains that the last shot was after he already made one, and I’m only including the 3 point attempts up to each made 3 pointer. *Format explanation:* Here’s the format: first, the 3 point shots ratio (made shots / total attempts) for that game, then the 3 point percentage for that game [semicolon] Then the cumulative 3 point shots ratio (total made shots / cumulative total attempts) and cumulative 3 point percentage. I hope that makes sense. _Also:_ Smequle said that Shaq went 1 for 22 from the 3 point line in his career, which would give him a career percentage of 4.545% (I double checked online and this is correct). In this video (without NBA 2K22) he shot an overall 12 for 174 from the 3 point line, which comes out to 6.897%, so he did successfully do better than Shaq’s career ratio of 1 make per 22 attempts (at 0:47 Smequle he says he wants to “at least shoot that percentage”)
