Bro im trying to get built like Matt, strong and aesthetic but not enough to be slow or negatively impact the vert. If any of y'all know, what would the training split be like between lifting for hypertrophy and explosiveness, as well as factoring in recovery for volleyball training and matches?

But to get a build like Matt - since we don't know you, it's probably fair to say he has a specific body type (meso, endo, ecto, etc), he has a rich history of playing handball, he probably has built up a lot of type 2B fast twitch fibers from handball, volleyball, other specific athletic training and activities. I personally know he just started lifting recently. I hope this helps.

@@Shunobii Oh shit I wasnt expecting a really detailed response, thanks a lot :) I'm like 6'6 230lb I started working out like a year ago trying to bulk but lowkey it turned into a recomp cause I used to be skinny fat. Since I got on my uni's volleyball team I kinda put gym on the backburner since I recovery and time got in the way but now I wanna get strong as possible and a bit bigger for next season, then find a split that works so I can still perform in trainings 2-3x per week and matches each weekend. Interesting that he's only been working out for a short time but ig bro is just super athletic overall.

@@Masa6x Nice goals dude. Personally, i would narrow it down to what you specifically want (use SMART goals) to weed out unrealistic expectations. I think it's fine to put gym on the backburner and since you're on the UNI team, is it fair to assume that you'll have access to a S&C coach, resources, etc? You'll make gains no matter what as long as their optimal stresses to your central nervous system and allowing yourself recovery time too. Haha, you're taller than Matt if you're 6'6.
