As a New Mexico resident, I'm glad you had fun. Meow Wolf is a fun place, I love the tree house. Stay longer next time in New Mexico, tons to do. Santa Fe also has an entire neighborhood that has thousands of sculptures. Chama, Taos and Red River is excellent too as you head towards Colorado.

You're right about the "tons to do" in New Mexico, for sure. My list of future attractions there never seems to get any shorter, no matter how many times I visit! I keep going back to Taos and Santa Fe for their quirky adobe architecture and art scene. The Rio Grande Gorge near Taos is a spectacular place! I just love the drive on Highway 60 from Socorro all the way west to Phoenix: a magnificent route on both sides of the state line, whether in a car, van, RV or on a motorcycle. Next year, I finally get to visit Luna N.M. for the first time, maybe Chaco Canyon too. What else should I add to my list?🤔

@@tedpreston4155 Of course there are the National Parks White Sands, and Carlsbad Caverns. For history lots of historic sites. If you're into camping fishing hunting, there are lots of mountains for any of those. Tons of hikes, Albuquerque has the Tram and the Ballon Fiesta.

That was a friendly bullsnake that crossed your path on the rutted dirt road you were on. Perfect time of year to travel through New Mexico! I was born and raised in the southern NM, which has more of a dessert landscape, but just as beautiful for its sunsets and farm land.

Yup, Bull snake... Pretty cool, They're all hibernating now. I once had one crawl up under my truck and slither out, almost 600 miles later when I got home. I'm sure I've never heard a snake freak out, but I bet that one did.

That's sure true. I once drove from Wyoming to Virginia, in a 1962 Chevy Impala that was already an antique at the time. Every time I stopped, I crawled around the car with a wrench and screwdriver, snugging up everything that had been squeaking and rattling. The car was much quieter when I reached Norfolk!

Abiquiu, NM! It's so beautiful. Abiquiú means "wild choke cherry place" in the Tewa pueblo language. The famous artist Georgia O'Keefe lived there, and died in Santa Fe. She loved painting what she saw in nature all around that area. "Georgia O'Keeffe was an American modernist artist. She was known for her paintings of enlarged flowers, New York skyscrapers, and New Mexico landscapes. O'Keeffe has been called the "Mother of American modernism". --Wikipedia "

Hey, Lord Jimmy and Lady Nat are coming to Colorado! Gas is cheap here! If you want a quiet parking place, out in the country on private land near Elizabeth with a great view of Pikes Peak, just ask! 🙂 (there's shop space and tools here too, if you find anything that needs tweaking after your drive.) All I ask in return is that you give some love to our collection of old, blind and deaf horses and dogs. They all love visitors, especially visitors with brushes in their hands and treats in their pockets! Are you gonna drive up Pikes Peak? It'll test your brakes coming back down! The Forest Service stops all the downhill traffic every few miles, and they check your brake temperature, to avoid nasty accidents! One of the other Meow Wolf locations is here in Denver. Thanks for sharing what you could record! It's about time we make the trek up to Denver and see it ourselves!

Hi, fun times are still waiting for you two in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico-I’m writing this as you were backing out of the dirt road on you way to your first camp spot; hey that road looks like it’s freshly graded; that’s where the fun is, down those bumpy roads. Oh, I live in the mountains (The Sangre de Cristos) the southern end of the Rocky Mountains just 20 mile from Santa Fe, and you’re welcome back to visit us anytime! Come and see us, you’re invited, we’ll show you around, Christmas in Santa Fe is a destination 👍🏼 You pronounced Abiqu correctly 😎 By the way Santa Fe is the oldest continuously inhabited village/town in the United States, the Spanish Conquistadors, the Nuevo Mexicanos and before them the Pueblo, plains and nomadic Native Tribes of this great land.

You said it correctly. ABAQUE.. (of course that is not how to spell it) Next time in NM during this time of year you must drive the turquoise trail and see the leaves changes. Also there is a driving route called the enchanted circle which is a great drive in fall or anytime. (Maybe not winter)

Have you explored Bisti Badlands in New Mexico, south of Farmington, NM? I plan on going there during the annular eclipse in October 2023. It is an alien planet sort of place.... really strange hoodoos. You will certainly enjoy the quiet and the strange rock formations. You may park at the trailhead for dispersed camping. You will need a hiking tracker to get back to your van since there is no normal hiking trail (it is washed away during occasional rain). ENJOY!

My son got a post card today from one of his teachers from middle school, she had visited Meow Wolf last week! We hadn't heard of Meow Wolf before so we looked it up online and watched a video about it. My son thought it was a very cool place (Loved the candy room, trees, and slide!)! We even found out that there is one in Grapevine, Tx also which is close to us in Oklahoma. So I am watching your video afterwards and you mention Meow Wolf! LOL! My son is Autistic and he says to me "This is so Cool!, Did you plan this?!" I said "No, it's just happenstance. LOL! Thank you Jimmie & Natalie for sharing your adventures! I had the pleasure of painting one of the oldest homes in America. The first part was built in 1678, an addition was added in 1710, another addition added in 1898, and a fourth addition added in the early 1930's. We had to follow Historical Society's rules which by the way suck. The oldest part of the home the color range was literally 25 colors which we had to match perfectly.

Hi guys, you two look great, Happy to see you guys traveling and being together and having fun, yeah I know sometimes it can be ugghh 🤨 but for the most part I'm sure you guys make the best of your day, keep on keeping on, I've been to New Mexico once for a visit and it was quite different from where I'm from, New York City 🏙️🌆.

Great video. So fun to see you guys on the road. I missed the bus days but I'm more into the van part. We enjoyed the build now we get to enjoy this part. Do you guys always travel so much and only stop for 1 night at a time in a place? If you make it up to Idaho we have a large flat drive way you could park on and do laundry and stuff in the house. You can park right next to the Van we are building out for full time travel.

You got the pronunciation of Abiqui close enough. Upper crust pizza would not have been a bad choice for pizza. Meow Wolf is a fun venue. I recently attended a concert there which was small but a great group called the California Honey Drops. Great Blues and Jazz with a lot of improve. For a taste of New Mexican flavor, The Plaza cafe on the Plaza is a good choice too.
