Finally some LS exit velo numbers for 52s with something that wasn't a LS

From watching this I’m very impressed with how the tantrum started at 275 and held compression very well. I definitely plan on purchasing one of these.

I'm surprised the sweet spot hotness was that low. What type of velo are you personally looking for to score a bat max hotness? Isn't your highest like 111

We’ll have an entire update to the rankings portion of our site which will include a key of sorts for the numbers before long but for overall rank it’ll be: 10-15 = Average 16-20 = Above Average 21-25 = Excellent 26-30 = Elite For the individual ranks it’ll be: 3-5 Average 6-7 Above Average 8-9 Excellent 10 Elite One of the big things people asked for on polls we ran and through messages was an easier way to differentiate bats so we wanted a scale that would do that. But to reach an individual 10 it would have to be the absolute BEST bat we’ve swung in that category. 8 & 9 are going to be bats that will be tough to beat. As more bats drop if every bat starts underpinning we may adjust numbers and post to make everyone aware but we want bats that are considered Elite to be absolute just buys. Hopefully that makes sense, and we’ll do our best to make that all clear on the site as that gets updated

Did you guys swing last year's version of this bat, I don't remember seeing it. Curious on the comparison.
@eddychang29011 сағат бұрын
How would the GC Tantrum compare to the Combat in performance and feel if you were swinging both in 55 degree weather. Would you guess the tantrum would still feel crisp in the heat?

Does this come in a different colour scheme or just the red and black?
@AverageDudesSlowpitch12 сағат бұрын
This model is just this paint scheme. Not sure on future plans in 2025 for Easton

Is there much of a difference between this one and the WS Tantrum besides barrel length?
@AverageDudesSlowpitch2 сағат бұрын
Stiffer/crisper barrel. Holding compression better. That seems to be the main differences I can tell

You said it was 55 there, so just how hard is the cold weather on the composite bats? I’ve never played much in cold weather.
@AverageDudesSlowpitch12 сағат бұрын
Cold weather can have a very big impact but what really matters is how the bat and balls were stored prior and how long you’ve been outside. So for us, if it’s going to be hot or cold we ensure bats and balls have been in my office for at least 24 hours. Then depending on temp determines how long we’re willing to hit. So for this review for instance we left the 2nd bat we were hitting in the truck with it running so barely didn’t get cold and we only hit until we were out of balls in the bag. No pick ups since the balls get cod sitting out. That helps us keep close to the same performance for reviews and then for the purpose of your own BP or games and what not it protects the bat. Frozen softballs are bat breakers. People forget all the time that just be because it’s warmed up and you hit at 2pm if the temp dropped pretty good overnight the core of the ball is still cold and bad for the bats. Same for the fibers of the bat when it gets cold. Hopefully that make sense

What’s the difference between this one and the Connell tantrum with the white Handle
@AverageDudesSlowpitch12 сағат бұрын
Only difference I know for sure from hitting it is a stiffer barrel and overall feel. I haven’t been able to get details from companies which I understand since they don’t want to give up their tech and engineering

Does this one finally come in a 28oz or is 27oz the highest in weight?
@AverageDudesSlowpitch12 сағат бұрын
That I’m honestly not 100% sure on 🫣 I can find out in 38 minutes at drop.. lol
@hudsonbrown768912 сағат бұрын
Last years Connell tantrum came in a 28oz, I had 2 that I got as warranty bats that were 28s. For some reason they held compression better and were more durable than the 27oz models.
@jarretabelov11 сағат бұрын
I did find out only 27oz is the highest unfortunately. Thank you for another great video!

@@hudsonbrown7689 I wonder why they didn't do it this year? That's what I thought, I was positive they did, tried finding one and of course couldn't. Thank you for the information.
