Can't wait for that banger to come out Quick Tip about 1 pieces: Because 1 pieces are not cut to length unlike 2 pieces, they inadvertently change qualities with length. The omaha is an exception because the 32" is designed to be balanced whereas the 33 and 34 fill the same niche, but for most bats a change in length can indirectly change the qualities which is why i always advocate for live trials since swing weight is a property of length, balance AND weight whereas sweet spot and pop are properties of shape and wall thickness

I have the black goods 32 in my bag and hit with it for over a year but now I swing the grey goods one piece 34 and have hit 3 home runs this year. Before this year I have never hit a home run. I am slugging 700 and my OPS is 1.20

If you can get a new 2022 Voodoo One with the Black end cap they are sending now, it would be interesting to see how it compares to the original 2022 you are swinging. The black end cap bat seems dead compared to the 2019 Voodoo One we replaced and to the 2022 one with the red end cap you are comparing other bats to.

When they replaced rosenblatt stadium did the build the new dimensions to face bats like the orange stealth lsu used way back when? Guessing the timeline is off since bat standards changed a lot. Thanks for the video

I can answer that actually. They have changed the field dimensions at Rosenblatt once in 2002 after the end of the gorilla ball era when besr was introduced. They brought the fences in roughly 10 feet to compensate for the reduced power of the bats since offense fell drastically in 2000 and 2001. These dimensions stand even at Charles Shwabb field, the field that CWS is at since 2011. The difference is that the average wind at rosenblatt was either neutral or beneficial to batters whereas at charles shwabb field has wind against the batter, which has been a consistent issue for teams coming from smaller stadiums and was a huge issue in 2011 because unlike 2002, they changed the bats without changing the fences. This park factor makes home runs in the CWS all the more impressive, but what impresses me is that the 1998 CWS had no wind, fences that were 10 ft further than today (30 feet further than some small college fields) and yet there were 35 points in that game. That's what happens when you give college guys essentially usssa level bats

I had the voodoo one and loved it. But the end cap broke so I got the goods one piece as a replacement and I honestly love this bat just as much. The swing weight is not too different. It has a ton of pop.
