After another 100 or so swings I think the cat x might actually be hotter than the cat 9 considering the x isn't even really broken in that well yet. Right now I think they're even as exit velo goes, the x might have put up a higher velo but just few tenths of a mph doesn't mean it's hotter but just that you just managed to connect on the g spot better on the x than the 9 for one of the swings.

Will, you are spot on. Most 12 year olds will take a LONG time to break that bat in. I can't get Rohan to swing USSSA, he says they are too juiced. Most of his tournaments are BBCOR now so he's right, there isn't much point.

Dude you gotta get your hands on one of the Green OG Marucci Hex bats…6 years ago when I was in Cooperstown I remember a whole team was using that bat and I think they hit about 8 home runs with it that game😂 Never have I seen a 12 year old hit balls as far as they were

I think 100% you need to break them in a little more. Barrel size in USSSA composite space actually does matter, but not for sweet spot. It's complicated but i think you need to break in the cat x a little more to get a better reading

Hey man I have a question that I hope you can help me with. My son plays travel baseball (9u). He's really wanting the 28" -10 cat x composite, but his coach has been telling me since 6u that kids aren't strong enough to swing the bat hard enough to get the performance out of the composite bats. Therefore he only suggests aluminum bats. What are your thoughts? I trust your bat knowledge over his, or most anybody for that matter lol.

I think the cat x will be my gamer because it’s max exit velo was better but sweet spots are almost the same cat 9 takes the cake but overall personally when it’s broken in I’m going for my cat x
