Most people do not get symptoms of seroconversion for as long as 28 days. Some do not get symptoms at all. Virus progresses towards AIDS silently for 8 to 10 years unless symptoms start to show as a result of significantly reduced CD4 count. Test result using NAT/RNA or DNA PCR starts showing positive results as early as 7th day(even earlier in some cases) of exposure. However, it is better to wait for at least 2 weeks for accuracy. Also, remember asking for a qualitative test instead of quantitative for detection. Quantitative measures viral load and may give false positive result when used for detection due to it's highly sensitive nature. 4th gen tests have reduced window period to 4 weeks, otherwise a 3 month or 12 weeks test is the protocol. A dual combo antigen-antibody test is conclusive at 4 to 6 weeks.

On 25th you go for PCR antibody test and if it comes negative then repeat the test after 3month .99% chances it will come negative , if the first test was negative . Let say for example your test came positive .. then you have to take ART treatment for life long at a government hospital for free of cost .
