This video was created for my mother’s entertainment, but feel free to enjoy it.
This is part two of our second month hive inspections. In our prior video, we added a second brood chamber which was about 5 weeks after the bees had arrived.
I’m still working out how to make these videos. I managed to get the second camera to work, but I was not to happy with the angle and other things.
Unfortunately, a few bees were harmed in this video. I was required to remove some cross comb and burr comb that messed up some of the brood comb. Cross comb is where the bees have built comb across frames, making it impassable to remove individual frames. Burr comb or Bridge comb is where the bees have built comb between upper and lower frames, bridging the gap.
Part Two is short than the first, because it was getting really hot in the bee jacket.
The breathable bee jacket was an amazing birthday gift from my beautiful bride.
Hope you enjoy.
