I have some that look like the NW version of those, that makes me feel good.😁They were even bring in white/grey pollen this week. Yep my bees are doing great or they are already gone, it's just time. But honestly I am ok with that and in most cases I know what I did wrong and it's all about learning. It's just my 2nd Winter after all, and I am discovering beekeeping in the NW has different challenges then many other parts of the country I believe.

Went through hell the last 4 days getting bees placed. Still have 3 more drops before middle of next week. Got a truck stuck and a swinger stuck so bad we couldn’t see the tires. Luckily pulled them out and finished the drop. I agree with your comment on the quality of colonies… either they are really small dinks or they are booming. We hardly have anything in between.

@@Hive5Bees yeah it was pretty miserable not going to lie. Hoping for a nice spring. We got a hell of a honey crop last year from a yard that typically produces very little summer honey

When I was in my mid-20s my great aunt married an A'mond Rancher (they lived in the Turlock area). I haven't heard anyone outside of that area use that pronunciation. (do they still call them ranches?)
