Kong was not fully grown in skull island he matured by the time he fights Godzilla. Makes sense they made him smaller

Yeah, I preordered this figure as well and I can't wait for him to add him into the collection. The figure doesn't look too shabby, could it been better...yeah, but Hiya did a good job of what they can do.

My take, it makes sense he’s smaller since GvK he had to grow to reach Godzilla’s size. I think I’ll wait though. The face seems super glossy and too dark. I’m pretty sure we’ll get a GxK Kong that will be the definitive Kong. 🤞

This new mold is able to have the arms sit more flush than the GvK Kong. Also, you can get him to the the "knuckle-walking hands" in a natural all fours pose if you use the drop down hips. It looks quiet good. The articulation on this Kong is significant improvement over the GvK mold from Hiya.

Kong and skull Island was actually 104 feet… Whereas almost 50 years later he was 300 and something feet. So he is actually oversized. Good review.

I think what might be throwing me off is the size they made the Skull crawlers, knowing that their exquisite figure is sized decently with the Godzilla vs Kong Kong they might be then too big for this version of Kong then, but you're right though from the movie canon, he should be smaller but it throws him off comparing him with other figures

I feel like they should have made him the same size. I know its technically more accurate, but if we really cared about accuracy the he really should be ankle hight to full grown Kong.

You have to make exceptions to these things sometimes. They had to scale the Skullcrawlers with the rest of the line (probably basing off the GvK SK) while also having it scale with SI Kong. Personally, I think that’s the best decision they could have made.

I think what really threw me off on the sizing of this guy was how big they made the Skullcrawlers. Movie scale this one should be smaller than GvK's but the Skullcrawler I thought was scaled properly with GvK's Kong so it makes this one come across too small for the size they were going with
