There is no land without people to fight in. The Ukrainians also use human shields because they put all of their military stuff a lot of the time in civilian infrastructure. Everyone who is actually defending their own people will actually defend them with military personnel.

Regarding the drone footage: the drone seems to have flown relatively low, because the camera lense has a strong fisheye characteristic and with this type of lenses, objects seem to be much further away than they actually are (depending on the focal length of the lens).

I think that it is a mistake to disclose to an enemy one's capabilities. This is akin to strutting and bragging. The advantage of surprise, creating doubts and second thoughts by the enemy is diminished by such arrogant bravado.
