In the EU it is ECE only. They do not have a DOT certification for this helmet over here.

As an owner of the standard RPHA 70 helmet i can tell you that i´m satisfied with the helmet, just the noise at high speed is something to consider. I think that the Shoei GT Air 2 is a way better option but in the end u get what u pay for. I won´t regret buying it since its a pretty good touring option but for 100 $ more you get a way better one. Thanks to HJC for the great Helmet but work on your noise reduction in the future.

I just return GT Air II - couldn't even test ride it as the strap was cutting thru my adam's apple bone. It's a shame cause otherwise it looked really nice fit and finish.

RPHA 70 Carbon in Australia is ECE. US needs to get with the times and accept ECE instead of DOT, then helmet manufacturers wouldn't even need to consider the DOT standard and could manufacture helmets for the entire global market.
@MagicBrownMan4 жыл бұрын
the thing is manufactures don't need to consider DOT as is to be honest... The DOT is a self certification that is so basic that any Snell and or ECE certified helmet can pass it. The reason that the US will never move on past DOT is simple, by keeping the DOT as minimum any rider that want can get get better from the pool of existing helmets but those riders that use "brain buckets" can still legally use them.

The medium and large is the same shell size so all the paddings are interchangeable. Been riding around with M for about a week. I think the configuration I’m gonna like is the large lining with medium cheek pads. If it’s gonna be anything like the i90 the cheeks broke in ALOT. I rode the i90 for 5 thousand miles. Hope that helps.

The problem i find with those sun visors is on winter days when there's not much light unless you are facing the sun and the light hits the road so you could use the tint but because it's cold when you drop it down it's completely fogged up and you can't see a thing. I have tried leaving vents open and it makes no difference.

Appears alot are finding this helmet on the tight size. It took ages for mine to bed in across the temple and the cheek pads are still tight. Mine is an M. I tried a L of the RPHA 90 on and it fitted better. What the recommended pads size to swap to
@douglasalexander43489 ай бұрын
Daniel you have 40mm, you need 35. Large and medium are same shell size, so swapping for 35 makes it a large.

Was anyone able to install the Cardo Packtalk Slim communicator on the HJC F70 helmet ? What about this special Sena compartment at the rear of the helmet, can Cardo somehow fit over/in it? Does the internal sun-visor mechanism gets in way of the Cardo controller clips? The helmet is not listed on the Cardo site under helmets comparability, but I wonder if anyone in the real world did it...
