For me the low profile and wight are very nice. You cannot play at more than 12 bps on a tournament so speed is not an issue. You can play recball with the same loader. Has more capacity than the rotor, 40+ but is a little more expensive. Only the experience of the players will determinate if R2 or TFX are better to play.

Having trouble with the tension setting I tried switching it up and down and doesn't seem to be changing the tension at all I bought mine used what do you think the problem could be ??I also changed the batteries

anyone know if you can have the speed feed and rain lid on at the same time?

Yep, the TFX Speed Feed has a rain cover, when the rain cover is on, you just press the button on the speed feed lid and it'll flip open like a regular lid.

+Alex De La Cerda I highly recommend the TFX and R2 because of the reliability of both. They are almost indestructible and can take tons of abuse and punishment. The TFX has a slightly lower max feed rate than the others but it is rare to shoot your marker faster than 12.5 BPS, which the TFX can easily feed.

Is there some sort of anti-jam mechanism for this loader? I feel like that's pretty important since my Rotor jammed all the time :/

It does and the R-2 still has one but DYE said it redesigned their carouselfeed arm to keep paint from jamming, so I'd look into the R-2 instead of the TFX (Personal Opinion/Advice).

Blake WItsenburg Already got two Spires lol...they're great, but for some reason they both keep spinning when my hopper isn't completely full. Gotta "reflash" them or something according to Virtue. Need a spare just in case.

There is a reverse button on the back by the power button it looks like, like the one on the Prophecy Z2 that clears the jam. HK really innovated combining the three top of the market loaders (Z2 reverse button, Spire spring load system, and a feeding system that works just as the rotor does) into one, plus they put the easy release lid on it. This is there first loader ever and now the R2 came out with the same easy release lid, my personal opinion since i know a few guys at the HK warehouse here is that they have great customer service and for $200 this loader is pretty affordable for all that your getting. Id stretch so far to even say that pros might even start using the TFX more than the rotor, HK is really starting to become a competitive company

how do you know its slower , there has not had a drop test yet with all the different tensions so you dont know that , and it has nearly nothing in common with the rotor except the spring ramp , if anything it has more in common with the spire.

HR Smith If a loader drops at 15 bps, it is as fast as you will ever need for anything. I would take the slower hopper that has a lower profile, and lighter weight every time. No brainer, and only 2 batteries.

This hopper is such a rip off $200. That is ridiculous. In no way should any hopper even cost over $100. This + virtue spire and dye rotor are a complete scam. And people wonder why paintball isn't growing as fast as the other sports, its because everything in this industry is so over priced. With $200 I could buy a brand new Xbox 360 + 2 controllers for under $200.

I am fully aware that these hoppers are considered high end. But just because something is "high end," doesn't mean it is actually good value for the cost. Let me give you an example, I bought for $180 a scar AEG (airsoft electric gun) with a full metal upper receiver from classic army. I won't get into the specifics (since I am assuming you may not know what I'm talking about), but in paintball terms it is about equivalent to an empire axe or an etek5 both in build quality and technology. I can guarantee you that my AEG costs significantly more in building material than any of the "high end" hoppers that are built from plastic, even if its "high end" plastic. Yet classic army is still able to make a profit by selling their scar AEG for $180. So I highly doubt that a plastic hopper, 1/10 size of my AEG no matter how "high end" it is would justify a mark up price of $200 for HK army, Dye, Virtue, or any of the other high end hoppers to make a profit from their initial building cost. Hence paintball players are always ripped off, because paintball companies are just super greedy.
