There is no need to drill out the landing gear nacelles as on the Lancaster, each side of the nacelle is a green fuel tank pressed up against the spars, so just need to paint the right shade of green between the spars to represent the fuel tanks. But what a brilliant video you have made for this iconic aircraft, well done.

Thanks John. Yeah, I knew about the fuel tanks but still preferred the look of the struts / spars when drilled out. It's a shame HK didn't include those gaps and then perhaps the end of a fuel tank that could show though. Then again, I suppose it would hardly be seen.

Thx for posting - Your advice & explanations are very clear. Iam sure you will across more errors in the assembly instructions as you progress...Does the Port Wing feel solid in general after the cement has cured or does it flex?...I also like what you are doing with the Starboard Engines. How delicate are the plastic parts supporting the engines (should they be covered with some foam in case the wing is bumped against a solid surface)?

Hi - thanks for your comment. The wings seem fairly sturdy - no real flexing. However, one thing I noticed after making the video is that there seems to be a 'twist' in the wings from about the mid-point to the tip. Only slight, but noticeable. I need to check this against source photographs and try to find a way to capture it on camera too. The engine mountings seem fairly sturdy - more than say wing mirrors on a car or aerials on armour. To be honest I haven't really thought about where I'm going to put this when it's finished.

Jeez, that wing really brings home the size of this! But I'm afraid for such an expensive and modern kit, the quality is way too questionable for my liking. I have no doubts that the Wingnut Wings Lancaster will be a far superior product.

Yes, size (and the interior) has been the main attraction of this kit. I'm very interested in the WnW kit but since it was announced in December 2018 I haven't really heard anything else of it. Hopefully it will be available soon. A cockpit only version would be very nice too, though I doubt they will release that.
