Very excited to try out the HK MP5 22LR. This is just the unboxing, and me being excited about this. When we do the shooting video we will have 8-10 different types of ammo to see if its picky, or if it will run everything.

It’s epic. As much as I’d like to get an HK MP5 in 9mm. Here in ca they go for premium $$. I’ll be sure to get the video up this weekend. Working on setting up some steel plates for the awesome sound feedback of hits. . Another one of the things I’ve been meaning to review is the CMMG 22LR AR conversion. We have shot more 22 through our ARs then everything else combined. Easily over 5k rounds, and the conversion BCGs still running strong. Plus my wife, and kids love the 22LR AR so quiet

nice gun, i also own one, threw a Tri rail on it to replace the old original handguards then added a foregrip. Great gun although it really doesnt like the brass ammo, probably gotta break it in fully after accouple thousands rounds of the copper stuff.

Nice firearm. Got mine last week. Just got 3 more magazines, and red dot mount tonight. The other HK 416d and Hamerlie Rc2 are all metal. They run flawlessly. They all are really high quality firearms.

They’re both pretty awesome. Wooki , and Alaska. Never really had much experience with cats, but they’re hilarious. They love the garage it’s insulated heated/air conditioned. Pretty big they like looking out the windows sun bathing, watching my 3D printers. All in all I’m glad we have them.

Nice. I wish we could buy standard mags here. The issue is being challenged, and the judge overseeing it has already ruled mag capacity restrictions are unconstitutional in 2019. The state governor didn’t like that , and challenged it up to the next level. They ruled it was unconstitutional, and the state pushed it farther up in court. Ended up in the Supreme Court, and was remanded back to the original judge for review in light of bruen. The odd thing is the judge used bruen when coming to his decision the first time (Text, History, Tradition) ca likes to use 2 step like we ban this but you can have that…. . So recently CA submitted a brief requesting a continuance until March of next year. The were supposed to submit their arguments by November this year. Hopefully the judge denies the request to continue it, and rules on it.

No, it doesn't have "all the amazing features you expect from an HK", this has no roller delay. This is standard blowback, it'd be pretty cool if it was roller delay but I suspect the price would change (and I'm not sure how well 22lr could cycle the rd system).

9mm pistol MP5 is off roster. So it has to be bought private party, but also because the mag isn’t in the pistol grip it has to be fixed Mag otherwise in ca it’s an AW

I believe so because it’s a rifle, and it’s rim fire. From my understanding rim fire is exempt as it’s written in regards to AWs in CA. I’m not a lawyer, not legal advice.

Correct Rim Fire are exempt. Only applies to semi automatic center fire.

Because it’s rimfire, and a rifle none of the AW features matter. The AW issue only applies to centerfire semi auto rifles. . For pistols of this type in ca they have to be fixed Mag no matter what because they accept a mag outside of the pistol grip.

I’m not sure. Not legal advice I’m not an attorney. I believe if the fake suppressor isn’t part of the barrel you would be ok. The barrel has to stay 16” otherwise it becomes an SBR because it’s considered a rifle to begin with.

Bass Pro Shop has them last I looked. Saw they sell them at Sportsman too. My local go to gun shop has it and I saw it at Cordelia Gun Exchange last month. I thought about buying a second one, I like that gun that much.

Sadly it’s not a suppressor it’s part of the barrel . In California there’s no way to have NFA items .

It is a fake suppressor and you can remove it. Just unscrew it. But the barrel is not pretty without.

That would be epic. You can get the H&K mp5 here in CA in 9mm legal. It’s a pistol, and so it’s off roster. Expensive, and has to be a fixed magazine. Extremely inconvenient to load. They don’t make a comp mag for it, or any sort of hellfighter button because of the way it operates. . Now if they made it as a rifle like this it would still be a center fire semi auto rifle. Would have to be fixed Mag, or featureless. No pistol grip, vertical foregrip, adjustable stock, or flash suppressor. The last 2 are simple they’re not on the 22LR version either. It’s the adjustable stock, and pistol grip they would have to fix. . Sorry if this doesn’t sound great it’s CA everything has equal rights except guns, and even though my AR15s identify as muskets they don’t care 🤷‍♂️. Thanks for watching

Yeah. It’s a rifle. 16” barrel, and meets the minimum overall length, and with it being rimfire the AW nonsense doesn’t apply. That means it can have the adjustable stock etc.
