方謹昌（萬梓良飾）自幼在中下階層長大，雖然環境困苦，但一家人感情很好，雖然謹昌其後發現原來自己從小就被生母（南紅飾）拋棄，一起長大的家人毫無血緣關係，但仍發奮圖強，終獲晉升為督察，其愛侶林月明（劉嘉玲飾）亦答應嫁給他，又與失散廿多年之親父（劉江飾）相認，眼看人生終於苦盡甘來，漸入佳境，豈料福無重至，禍不單行…… 原來謹昌的生母梁美屏懷著謹昌的親弟鍾偉舜（吳啟華飾）嫁給富商鍾贊（劉兆銘飾），偉舜外表斯文內心奸險，不但多次陷害謹昌與他發生衝突，還玩弄謹昌妹方學甯（周海媚飾）之感情，害她跳樓自殺未遂，更為繼續隱瞞身世得到養父信任，不惜謀殺親父。偉舜憑藉財勢及狡詐，不僅逃過法網，更連累謹昌被革職，令謹昌與月明之婚約被迫擱置，全家人也陷入絕境，偉舜反而日益財雄勢大⋯⋯

That means that she did a good job💯. She acted as all the others did not even like her. Who likes her as a GF?! She acted like the most annoying,very hateful way like the way what the film-director/screenwriter wanted/said her to acted in her role/characters.💯👍 She is in their relationship of 5 years with the good right very sad innocent policeman. He's the 1 who's the innocent the good right man who suffered for 5 long years enough with her.😥😢 He's better off without anyone else besides his own dearest family. Nothing wrong to put your family at first. They're the most important strongest peoples ever in it life.
