I agree. It is very beautiful. Lots of green, hilly terrain. I wonder what part of Japan this is? I’ve never seen this before. Could it be one of the islands around. Japan?

This train runs "SO-YA" area where is most north of "HOKKAIDO".So,landscape is different than other area of Japan.

I've noticed that the driver in this video and others, points with their finger. Why are they doing that?

Not only looking at signals and time schedule, but also they do double-check with their fingers whether this is surely correct. We have this habit to do safely in Japan.

@Dr Moriarty Buzzer is the ATS alarm which rings before a stop to notify the driver. He will need to press a confirm button within 5 seconds (⇒the ding-dong sound) or emergency brake will be applied
